PREFACE
I’m Angela R. Doca Grade 12 Dionysius HUMSS Student at Solana fresh water fishery
school, live in Bangag, Solana, Cagayan. I’m a type of person who will do everything
to achieve my dreams and goals in life. Simple but the braver one. In my journey in
junior high school, I experience attending NCII at Aparri and one of the good passers
in NCII.Creating portfolio represent how you really understand the subject you
encountered in senior high school. I create a portfolio to show my creativity and
knowledge, how really, I understand the subjects in senior high school. Being a
student is not easy, you would experience a lot of struggles, problems that can beat
you down. But for me that is a trial that God gave to us. If we can surpass her
challenge you can surpassed that challenge.Although you have been experiencing a
lot of problems, God will never leave you, God will always help and guide in your
journey to his world. Always pray and be positive and don’t ever give up in life, just

A resume should show the energy power as well as excitement about the
career field selected. It should also define applicants’ personality traits, as when
evaluating the individual traits, it should be kept in mind that these are key aspects
that define them. The candidates’ future in an organisation is well defined in the
resume itself. If the applicant is confident, influential and loyal, he will make choices
that are well-defined, firm and likely to be in the best welfare of the company.
Creating a resume was not easy at all, however there were some easy parts. I
think my resume was weak in some area like in the job experience that I didn’t put it
because I don’t have any job experience at all. I just want to have a resume that
reliable and it is aligned with my future career paths and goals. Because I know in
myself that being honest in creating a resume is a powerful traits that applicant
should have.

When I’m doing my application letter, the important things about us is the
crucial part. It is not much but only a few and important info that can attract the
ones who read our application letter. I learned that we just put the most powerful
information and it is better when the information content can be related to the job
that we search for. This is because, with the application letter, there will be resume
that already show the details about us. So there’s no need to put it all in the
application letter. Just use the appropriate language, in nice sentences and make
sure that it does not show that we are too desperate to get the job. In producing the
application letter, there must be our address and also organization address. The
paragraphs that we produce are about three which is the opening, middle and the
closing paragraph. Every part is need to write strategically and efficiently about
ourselves in order to make sure that out letter is good enough to attract the
company.

Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809 in a log cabin in Kentucky.
His father was a carpenter and farmer and both his parents were members of a small
Baptist congregation which was opposed to slavery and had separated from a bigger

church as a result. As Abraham was growing up he preferred to read rather than
work in the fields and this made his relationship with his father, who was the
complete opposite, a difficult one.
In 1830 the family moved to Illinois. As a young man Abraham had several
jobs including running a store, surveying and being a postmaster. Because the local
people were so impressed by his character, he earned the nickname “Honest Abe” in
the town where he lived. His first attempt to enter the world of politics by running
for the Illinois legislature in 1832 was a failure, but in 1834 he ran again and was
successful. He won again in the next three state elections. In his spare time he
studied law and became a lawyer in 1836.
In 1839 he met Mary Todd, a scholarly young woman from a good family who
was then living with her sister in Springfield, Illinois. She dated several prominent
young men but it was Abraham Lincoln who won her heart and they were married in
1842. Over the next 11 years they had 4 children and Lincoln became a successful
attorney.
In 1846 he ran for the US House of Representatives and won. The family
moved to Washington and Lincoln became well known for his opposition to the
Mexican War and to slavery. In 1854, after a period during which his interest in
politics had declined, he made an unsuccessful attempt to enter the US Senate.
However, over the next few years he rose to prominence in the Republican Party by
making impressive speeches and engaging in debates with other important political
figures. In 1860 he won the Republican Presidential nomination even though he was
not the pre-convention favourite. He was elected as the 16th President of the United
States on November 6, 1860. After his election, many southern states fearing a
Republican government which would abolish slavery, seceded from the Union and
formed the Confederate States of America. In response Lincoln raised an army and
decided to fight to keep the Union together. Through the next 4 years there was a

bloody Civil War between north and south which cost the lives of more than 600,000
Americans (more than died in both World Wars put together). On January 1, 1863
the Emancipation Proclamation, which was a declaration of freedom for all slaves in
the Confederate States, went into effect.
On the evening of April 14, 1865 President Lincoln and his wife went to see a
play at Ford’s Theatre. During the performance Booth arrived at the theatre, where
he was well known, entered the State Box and shot the President in the back of the
head at close range. He then leapt onto the stage, breaking his left leg as he landed,
and made his getaway (he was hunted down and shot dead 12 days later). The
mortally wounded President was carried out of the theatre to a house across the
street where he died the next morning at 7.22 am. He was the first President to be
assassinated in American history. His body was taken back to his home town of
Springfield by train and he was buried on May 4, 1865 while the Union mourned for
its lost leader.

If school closures and worrying headlines are making you anxious, you are
not the only one. Actually, that is how you should be feeling. “Psychologists have
long recognized that anxiety is a normal and healthy function that alerts us to threats
and helps us take measures to protect ourselves. “Your anxiety is going to help you
make the decisions that you need to be making right now – not spending time in big
groups of people, washing your hands and not touching your face. “Such feelings are
helping not only you, but others as well. That is how we “take care of members of
our community. We think about the people around us as well.
Although anxiety about coronavirus is completely normal, make sure “to get
information from reliable sources [such as UNICEF and World Health Organization],
or to check any information coming through less reliable channels” If you are
worried that you may have the symptoms, it is important that you tell your
parents/guardians about it. “You should know that the coronavirus disease is usually
mild, especially for children and young people.It is also important to know that many
symptoms of COVID-19 can be treated. Tell your parents or a trusted adult if you are
feeling unwell or if you are worried about the virus, so that they can help you. And
remember: “There are many things we can do to keep ourselves and others safe and
to feel in better control of our circumstances: frequently wash our hands, don't
touch our faces and limit face time with others.”

reasons to impose severe sanctions against Russia in response to its attack of

Everyone has a part to play in the fight against climate change especially us.
Many young adults across the country want to get involved, but they do not know
how. As a youth we need to speak for the truth.
We need to know that knowing is half the battle, which is why being educated
on the effects of climate change goes a long way. While advocating for change and
getting involved is important, it is vital that we need to know the reasons behind. So,
I’m telling to all my dear friends that help we will able to make more informed
decisions and make sustainable changes in our behavior and lifestyle to solve
problems of climate change.
Much of our electricity and heat is powered by coal, oil and gas. We need to less
our energy consumption by lowering our heating and cooling we need switch them
to LED light bulbs and energy-efficient electric appliances like washing your laundry
with cold water or hanging things to dry instead of using a dryer.We need to eat
more vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, nuts and seeds, and less meat and
dairy that can lower our environmental impact. Producing plant-based foods
generally results in fewer greenhouse gas emissions and requires less energy, land
and water.
After applying this in our home my dear friends its time for us to take the time to
get involved in conservation efforts in our area is one of the great way that we can
help fight climate change. Working with others, friends, or local groups to organize
and institute changes in our community can really help in the long term. Not only
that, but working with local groups is a great way to get connected to larger groups.

There are plenty of large groups all across the country who are working toward
conservation and climate action. Joining with one of these groups can allow us to
join with like-minded people and make a much larger difference. Not just we are
young doesn’t means that we can’t do anything because may be limited does not
mean our impact has to be. We can make a difference, so go out there and do it. We
need to start from our home.

Everyone has their own wants to achieve or dream in life. This can only be achieved
with diligence and perseverance. For me I have many goals in life and I want to
achieve them one day, so right now I am working hard on my studies and to be able
to study. This is my only weapon for me to succeed in the future, and one day and I
can be proud of myself because I graduated from school and have a good job. I also
want to have a good life as well as our family so for now I will keep my studies so
that I can graduate and my parents can also be proud and I will repay the sacrifices
