Materials:
Abbreviations:
s: stitch
Easy Care Cotton Merino fra Mayflower ch: chain stitch
Crochet hook US size C/2 (3 mm)
sc: single crochet
Fiber fill
hdc: half double crochet

blo: back loop only
Amount of yarn used, approx.: mr: magic ring
Small: 0.6 oz. (18g) ss: slip stitch

Large: 0.9 oz. (25g)

Measurements approx.:

Small: 2.95 x 2.8 inches (7,5 x 7 cm).
Large: 4.3 x 3.5 inches (11 x 9 cm).

When crocheting a striped pumpkin, change color after each row in the turning stitch. If you carry the
yarn along within the stitches, you avoid having to weave in a lot of ends 😊


NOTE: Turn by chaining 1 – It does not replace a stitch.
From the 2nd row and onwards, crochet in the back loop only.
The last stitch is worked through both loops of the stitch.

Small:
1. Ch 29. Turn your foundation ch. Work 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the crochet hook. Work 1 sc in the
next 3 ch sts. Work 1 hdc in the next 20 ch sts. Work 1 sc in the last 4 ch sts.
From now on, work ONLY in the back loop (blo).
2. Turn by chaining 1. Work 1sc in the first 4 sts. Work 1 hdc in the next 20 sts. Work 1 sc in the last 4
sts.

Repeat row 2 until you have a total of 28 rows.

Stem:
1. Work a mr and work 8 sc into the ring. (8)
2. – 6.Work sc around. (8)
6. Work 2 sc in each s around. Finish with 1 ss.(16)
Leave a long yarn tail for assembly. Sew the stem onto the top of the pumpkin. Cut the yarn and weave
in the ends.







Large:
1. Ch 36. Turn your foundation ch. Work 1 sc in the 2. ch from the hook. Work 1 sc in the next 4 ch sts.
Work 1 hdc in the next 25 ch sts. Work 1 sc in the last 5 ch sts.
From now on, work ONLY in the back loop (blo).
2. Turn by chaining 1. Work 1 sc in the first 5 sts. Work 1 hdc in the next 25 sts. Work 1 sc in the last 5
sts.


Repeat row 2 until you have 42 rows in total.

Stem:
1. Work a mr and work 6 sc into the ring. (6)
2. Work 2 sc in each s around. (12)
3.-9. Work sc around. (12)
10. Work 2 sc in each s around. Finish with 1 ss. (24) Leave a long yarn tail for assembly. Sew the stem
onto the top of the pumpkin. Cut the yarn and weave in the ends.

1. Turn by chaining 1. 2. From now on, work ONLY in the back loop
(blo)


3. Work 1 sc in the first 4 (5) sts. 4. Work 1 hdc in the next 20 (25) sts.


5. Work 1 sc in the last 4 (5) sts. 6. Like this.












Row 3 and onwards

Repeat row 2 until you have 28 (42) rows in total.

Assembly:
Turn by chaining 1. Fold the piece in the middle. Now, crochet the sides together. This is done by
crocheting through both loops on the front piece and through the blo on the back piece.
Work ss around.

Now, the top is going to be crocheted shut. Work ss through 2 of the outer rib. Repeat around.
Cut the yarn and sew the hole shut. Now, turn the inside of the pumpkin back inside. Stuff the
pumpkin and repeat working ss through 2 of the outer rib around at the base of the pumpkin.
Cut the yarn and sew the hole shut.
Now, pull the yarn up through the pumpkin and back again. Tighten slightly and weave in the end.
