PROJECT PROPOSAL

I. Title: Connect to Educate Project

II. Location: Barangay Hall of Barangay Mananao
III. Duration/ Time of implementation: Weekdays 8 AM- 5 PM

A. Rational
Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic happened, lockdowns have been
declared and even the essential services and places involving the schools have also
stopped in making transactions physically. And because of that, a new kind of
educational system have been created and implemented like the virtual learning or
flexible learning so that the deliverance of knowledge to students will still continue. The
online learning uses the internet as a delivery modality to offer students learning
experiences and effective interactions between learners and instructors. However, this
kind of new learning system doesn't give much effectiveness to students. Maybe to those
students who already have an easy access to the internet found the learning system
effective but particularly to those students who are not fortunate enough to provide a
budget for monthly wi-fi fee, buying load for pocket wi-fi or mobile data doesn't find this
learning system effective.
Therefore, this project proposal is purposely designed to meet the needs of the school
youths/students who lack of internet connections/provider at home. Whereas, public wi-fi
will be installed in the barangay hall. And which is accessible only to those school
youths/students who’s the primary beneficiaries of this implementation. And since the
wi-fi is installed within the Barangay hall, the barangay's transactions who will need the
use of internet connection can be also connected to the wi-fi and will be recognized as the
second beneficiary.

B. Objectives:

 To provide the school youths an easy access to the internet without causing them
any money.
  To help them to be still updated and connected to their respective class
updates/activities/tasks.
 To lessen the burden of their family expenses most especially to those less
fortunate families.
 To make barangay transactions more efficient and convenient with the help and
presence of internet. And,
 To help the barangay officials to access the information/ files or data they need
conveniently and do their job well.

VIII. Beneficiaries:
The youth and students of Barangay Mananao are the beneficiaries of this project.
To satisfy the needs of school youth/students who do not have access to the internet at
home. The barangay officials are also among the recipients of this free internet
connection, which will help them in doing effective online transactions like as webinars
and gaining access to data and paperwork.

IX. Total cost of the project:

The only expense of this project is the internet connection, which costs 3500 a
month and covers an internet speed of 800 Mbps. The 10% SK Fund is the source of
funding for this project.
