Overview
For their second IRL instalments post-pandemic, a renewed sense of excitement
could be felt at the Copenhagen trade shows as exhibitors and attendees
descended on this much-watched fashion destination.

Part of the wider Copenhagen Fashion Week schedule, CIFF and Revolver brought a
roster of exhibitions, initiatives and events to the mix, trading on joy and optimism with a
return to pre-pandemic figures and vibes, with a 50% increase in visitors to the 59th
edition of CIFF alone.
The S/S 23 shows featured a range of established brands from across Scandinavia and
beyond, but the presence of new emerging brands exhibiting for the first or second
time was the highlight. Global exhibitors had also grown to more than 30 countries as
CIFF Hi-Tec
the Danish events gain a worldwide reputation for their curated and innovative
approach.
Known for their efforts in # Sustainability, environmentally friendly products and
brands took centre stage, with CIFF hosting a Circular Future exhibition that featured
those working on different circular streams and providing a physical space for brands
to connect and join forces for a greener feature.
In the trend arena, Scandinavia’s signature minimalist look played out via # NotSoClassic
and long-lasting designs, while many brands responded to the need for mood-boosting
design with WGSN’s # Kidult, # Y2K and # BeachComber narratives all on show.

As #Sustainability remains an industry
priority, exhibitors expand their eco-
friendly offerings, investing in a responsible
product strategy.

Brands focus on innovative materials,

replacing typical components with
recycled alternatives, such as wool, leather
and synthetic textiles. See Day Et’s bags

generation, a #Y2K aesthetic could be seen
across the show floors.

# NoughtiesNostalgia shows no sign of

waning, working well for the rebooted
festival season and youth ranges
Consider more minimalist interpretations
of the look to expand market appeal, as
other consumers will also resonate with
the familiar feel of this trend. The signet Von Dutch 3am Eternal
