Activity #3

A. Try to reflect on this: What if there were no universal values?

Universal values are principles that apply to all people, regardless of their
socioeconomic, ethnic, or cultural backgrounds. When a value transcends
laws and beliefs, it is deemed universal since it has the same meaning for all
individuals and does not change according to society. The existence and
definition of universal value are conjectures investigated by social sciences
such as moral philosophy and cultural anthropology. I think that without
universal values, we would be unable to achieve understanding, unity,
sympathy, and, most importantly, we will be unable to construct a stronger
nation. People would not be able to live together if there were no universal
values. People couldn't make plans, and they couldn't leave their possessions
behind them regardless where they went. We'd have no idea who to believe
or what to anticipate from others. Life would be more civilized and sociable.
Because universal values represent our own guiding principles or life
objectives, they guide our conduct in all facets of life, including our personal
lives, professional lives, and social lives. It's also the secret to a happy and
easy existence. They are the foundations for living a life of dignity and
respect. Being conscious of one's values also aids in understanding and
directing one's attitudes and behaviors.Universal values are vital in life
becauseIf a person has never educated himself/herself about universal values
then how can he/she decide between the good and bad? It's also the
expression of social action's ultimate intentions, goals, or purposes. What is
desirable, attractive, appropriate, right, important, useful, and good, as well as
what is unpleasant, ugly, wrong, improper, and terrible, is based on our
values. Our values are important, and they help us grow and develop,
therefore Universal Values play an important role in our lives. They assist us
in envisioning the world we wish to live in. Our choices are a reflection of our
values and ideas, and they are always aimed at achieving a certain goal. As a
result, if we want to assess a social group that has little or no corruption and
where all people may live peacefully, we must all examine the universal
values that our forefathers and religious leaders preach. We must take
responsible for making our society, and by extension our planet, a beautiful
place where all people may live with dignity and respect, free of fear. The
world will be a wonderful place to live if we all begin to follow the norms of
universal values. It is important to develop into a responsible and wise person.
People must understand that ideals must take precedence in our lives since
we are the society's future. Nothing could be better than a society in which the
majority of individuals have high moral beliefs and adhere to ethical
standards.
