Al is on his way to school.

INT. CAR ON THE WAY TO SCHOOL

Song playing “Bop Bop Baby by Westlife.”

Al looks over the window, writing his notebook some poems.

Al
“Kuya pwede bang pahinaan yung music”
(Sir could you please lower the music)

The driver lowers the music as they continue to drive to his

destination.

Al arrives at his school and pays.

Al
“Hahay Klase nanaman, ano kayang bago ngayon”

(Oh my, Its classes again, I wonder what’s new today)

EXT. OUTSIDE SCHOOL

Gale
“Al, Oi andito ka na pala, wala si miss daw free time daw tayo
ngayon..

(Al, I didn’t know you were already here, Miss isn’t around, we
got free time right now)

Al nods.

Gale
“Sabay na Tayo kain”

(Let’s eat together)

INT. CANTEEN
Al and Gale were reading his poems over lunch.

Gale
HUYYYYY ANG GANDA NAKAKAIYAK NAMAN TOH HAHAHAHAHA, IKAW TALAGA,
di ka pa nga magkaka jowa, Ang sakit sakit na ano nakaya kung
magka jowa ka

(YOOHOO THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL, IT’S MAKING ME CRY, Oh God You

haven’t even been in a relationship and this hurts deeply
already How much more when you go into a relationship)

Al
Sus Babae naman, mga tula lang yan walang totoo jan puros storya
Lang yan

(Oh Cmon, those are just poems, nothing is real, it’s all just
stories)

Gale
Pero paano yan, paano mo na fiFeel yung emotion na yan?.

(But How do you do it? how do you feel those emotions)

Al
Di ko alam, parang wala lang parang lahat ng mga emosyon na
eto’y naka tira sa luob ng utak ko, kada kailangan malungkot
parang may gagabay sa mga kamay ko para magsulat.

(I don’t know, it’s nothing, it’s like

All these emotions live inside of my head, and every time I need
to be sad it’s like something guides my hands as I write.)

With GALE(F.) Questions, Al starts to ponder and think to

himself. He begins to think deeply to himself, he begins to
question maybe, just maybe there are things beyond his
understanding.

EXT. ROAD HOME.

Al walks a street that goes directly to his dorm.

He has walked this street from he was a kid

Al glances at the street, as he smirks and looks up to the

sunset. As suddenly Ben feels the urge to write.

INT. HOME

Al shuts the door behind him, throws his keys to a table beside
his door, and hangs his bag.

Cuts to the Kitchen room

INT. DINING ROOM

Side shot of Al eating dinner.

*Washing the Dishes.

INT. BEDROOM

Al slowly sits down on his table and gets his journal from the
drawer. He grabs a pen from the top shelf and begins to write.

In writing.

“Ano nga ba tawag doon?

Yung titingin ka sa kanya at mapapa ngiti siya?

Pre, ano to? Katamtaman lang naman ang kanyang kagandahan pero
di ko kaya magdahan-dahan sa kasiyahang walang hanganan
pagnaririnig ang boses niya sa kantahan,...”

STORY SEQUENCE: CHRIS

Al’s voice merges into a different voice as he writes.

The voice of a man named Chris in love with a girl named Yani.

Chris is with two other friends doing impromptu spoken poetry.

Screen format ratio changes from 16:9 to 4:3.

Color grade switches to vintage brown with a film effect.

Chris

Langit ba tawag neto?

Yang paghawak mo mga kamay niya’y napuputa ang kaluluwa sa
paraisong napakalawak..
tapos ika’y nawawala sa presensya ng kanyang tawang di naman
special.. pero di din nakakasawa..

Eto na ba yung tawag nilang pag-ibig?

Yung pagbumubulong siya sa sakin ay parang serena kuwakanta ng

himig na nagbibigay yakap sa taglamig, eto na ba yung pag-ibig?
Yung di na matahimik ang lintik na pusong makata, na puros
pangalan mo nalang ang naiisip sa bawat ilaw ng daanan? Eto na
ba yung pag-ibig? Yung walang ibang masigaw kung di ikaw, eto na
ba ang pag-ibig? Yung di na mapakali sa kakaisip kung paano ka
ngingiti?...

Eto na ba yun?...

Inakbayan ako ng kumapre ko tinanong ako

“Ano bang pangalan niya?”
“Yani” sabi ko

“Edi ayun” sabi niya..

At duon ko nalaman..
Pagibig? Langit? Tadhana? Kasiyahan?
Iisa lang ang pangalan,

“Yani”

Cuts to a top-down shot of Al putting the pen beside the

journal.
Al lightly blows the ink on the pages to dry it gently closes
the journal.

Al
“Yan lang muna”

(That’s all for now)

Al lays down on this bed and shuts the lamp off.

INT. DREAM SEQUENCE

In Al’s dream, he is in a desert with a strong wind blow.

The wind gushes not with a wind sound but instead voices in his
head. In this dream, Al travels endlessly through this desert,
wandering in its hazy wilderness wondering where could he be.
Al then starts to sink in the sand and when he finally sunk he
fell from the sky to the sea. Al lands on the surface of the
water yet doesn’t sink. Al is bewildered as he sees a huge wave
approaching him, turning into fire as it grows higher and
higher. AL screams to the top of his lungs.

Al
“AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH”

Then his scream merged with a voice.

Gale
Al! AL! AAAALLLL!

INT. BEDROOM

Wide shot of Gale sitting on the foot of the bed waking Al up,
Al Gets up quick as if waking up from a nightmare.

As he is in a hurry to Get Up his face comes nose to nose close

with Gale’s face, Shocked by this they both stare at each other
awkwardly for a good half-minute then Yani Backs away.

Gale
HUY! Nakakagulat ka naman! Hhahaha Gising na po senorito baka ma
late ka sa school mo.

(HEY! You shocked me! Hahaha Wake up senorito You’re gonna be

late for school.)

Gale gets up to go prepare some coffee for them both of them.

Al hurries and freshens up, puts on his jacket, picks up his
sling bag, and passes by the kitchen where Gale was preparing
coffee.

Gale
Huy! Kape mo po, ginawa-gawa ko tapos di mo iinumin.

(HEY, Your Coffee, I made this and you’re not going to drink
it.)

Al
Oh for God’s sake Akin na nga yan

(Oh for God’s sake give me that)

Al snatches the coffee, as the camera focuses on Gale sipping

her coffee by the table peacefully, Al, in the background,can be
seen hurrying and grabbing a tumbler to put his coffee in.

Al
Sige na, Halika na, iinumin ko nalang toh on the way sa school.
(C’mon let’s go, I’ll drink this on the way to school)

Gale grabs her backpack and shuts the door after Al went out.

INT.PARKING LOT

A booth for storing helmets can be found in the parking lot, Al

grabs his and Gale’s Helmet as they ride on his Cafe Racer.

EXT. STREET

Wide centered shot of Gale and Al cruising through traffic.

INT. CLASSROOM

Al remembers that he left his Journal on his desk

Al

Uhmmm Ma’am, Naiwan ko po sa Condo po.. Sorry, po ma’am.

(Uhmmm Ma’am, I left it in the condo.. I’m sorry Ma'am)

Mrs. Gonzales Cuts him mid-conversation.

Mrs. Gonzales

Ay nako di okay yan na excuse Mr. Zosa, You have to give me

something right now or else 5 kay sa homework nato.

(Oh My Mr. Zosa, Thats not a good excuse, you have to give me
something or else you’re getting a 5 in this homework)

Al feeling intense worry.

Gale in his peripheral view mouthing

“MAG SPOKEN WORD KA NALANG”

Al Freaks out and exclaims

AL

“MAAM, Spoken word nalang po, pwede po bah?”

(Maam, How about Spoken word, would that be alright)

(Alright sure, but it must be in english)

Al

*takes a deep breath*

“Courtship”
A Poem I (stutters) inspired by my forefathers?

Al continues.
A comical overlay of:
*Harana
*Dancing
*Picnics

Al

...Let me tell you of my fore-fathers who courted their love

with strings and hymns,

And my grandfather did court his with Dances and festivities,

And as my father to his with Letters and picnics,

And Me?..

The Camera pans around Al and zooms in his Eye.

A zoom-out pan of the skies.

EXT. MOUNTAIN TOP

Track shot of Al walking.

AL

I don't know..
But let these next words be as sweet as chocolates to kid,

I cannot court you with hymns and tickle your smile with
strings, yet let me serenade you with Poems rhymes that could be
a song,..

I have no groove to dance, but let me scribble words that make

you beat your chest and make you twist and skip around as I
recite them to you...

I may not take you out on beautiful mountain top picnics like
where my father took my mother, But let me bring a blanket we
can lay on my truck, or a small hill in the city, and I will
breeze you with the sweetest words and heartfelt laughs from the
bottom of our lungs...

Lastly,

I may not court you with a vintage film, but I offer you my
simple acts and mellow words,
Let me court you not like my forefather, not so much like my
grandfather, kinda like my father, but let me court you.. as
Me....”

As Al walks forward a few couple skits behind him.

In the Background:
1. A Couple singing to each other
2. A couple dancing.
3. A couple having a picnic.
As Al says the final words “As me” all couples look at him and
nod.

INT. CLASSROOM

Snaps back to a wide shot of the whole class silenced.

Cuts to a shot of the teacher speechless.

Mrs. Gonzales

Al.. I mean, Mr.Zosa .. Ang ganda nun. Pinaghandaan mo ba ito?

(Al.. I mean Mr. Zosa.. that was beautiful, were you preparing
for this?)

Ha? No miss oi hahaha, Mayroon lang talagang mga panahong pag

tumutula ako, parang di ako ang nagsasalita hahahha.

(Ha? No miss hahaha, There are just sometimes where when I make
a poem it’s like there is someone else talking hahaha.)

Bell rings, they are now dismissed.

Mrs. Gonzales

Ah Al, please stay, I need to talk to you.

AL is shocked, thinking he did something wrong, he silently

stayed in his seat.
Mrs. Gonzales stares at him blankly.

Mrs. Gonzales

Pwede ka ba tumula about sa about mga Temporary things.. Like sa

love hehe parang love poet ka na eh hahaha.

(Can you make a poem about temporary things.. Like in love hehe
you’re kinda like a love poet now hahaha)

Al takes a few minutes to think about a poem. Then he remembers

a friend of his who fell in love with a girl who was easily fed
up so he kept on having to impress.
Al just enters the zone and starts speaking.

Al

“Temporary...

Cuts to blackscreen.
STORY SEQUENCE: DANTE
Zoom of Dante’s Eyes.

Al in voice-over.

Al

You say you easily get fed up by a person,

Your love probably span short,
But hence, I still love you,
So let me love you like no ever has loved,
Let me win you back every day,

Dante writes about the love of his life.

Thinking of the moments they spent together.

AL voice-over pause.
Dante thinks hardly to himself then a eureka moment.
Voice over continues.

Al

Every day I will come a new, yet will be the same,

On the first day I cometh with a crown on my head, and a velvet
robe, take my hand, and will conquer every land north, east,
south, west, as far as the eyes can see we will take it,
On the second day, I’ll win you with a big ass backpack and some
thick rubber shoes, we will hike the heights and mountains we
choose,
On the third let me fill your mailbox with handwritten letters,
let me love you like a poet, as the bible says “Out of the
abundance of My heart, My mouth will speak” and for sure my hand
will write.

EXT. MOUNTAIN TOP

Dante spooning his girl. The sunset’s light blankets then as
Dante speaks to her hears gently.

DANTE

I told you, I love you,

Every day I’ll come a new yet the same
I am just me, but as A king I was a new,
As an Adventurer, I was a new,

As a poet, I was a new,

Yet I was the same.
As King, I wished to love you as much as how the poet wanted to
write about you, and as a Poet, I love you with the persistence
and endurance of the adventurer whom I loved you a new,..

Dante’s hug gets tighter and he whispers.

Dante

Every day, I’ll come to you a new,

But I’ll be the same,
Still in love with you.

INT. CLASSROOM
Mrs. Gonzales is speechless and teary-eyed as Al finished.

Cuts to Gale

EXT. OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM

Gale over-hearing everything with a cheerful and happy pride.

Gale Whispers to herself.

Gale
Bespren Ko yaaaaan!

EXT. ON THE WAY TO THE PARKING LOT

Gale and Al were walking towards his motorcycle.

Gale shoulder bumps Al in the shoulder.

Gale

Oi lalake matanong nga kita, did you ever write me one?

(Hey Boy, Lemme ask you, did you ever write me one?)

Al shocked and stare at Gale.

Al

Ayoko nga, baka magalit yung Jowa mo sakin, baka bugbugin pako
niyan, ang liit ko kaya!, isang sapak nun ay naku! Wasak ang
pagmumuka ko hahahah

(I dont want to, Your boyfriend might get pissed and beat me up,
Im small! One slap from him Oh damn! My face is wrecked.)

Gale

HAHAHAHHA grabe naman! Di naman siguro ka niya gugulpihin.

(Oh thats too much, I dont think he’d beat you up.)
Al and Gale ride the motorcycle and rode off.

EXT. ROAD

As they were cruising through traffic, Gale sees the sunset is

extra gorgeous today.

She tells Al

Gale

AL! AL! Al!

Slightly irritated.

Al

Uy Ano ba?

(Yo what is it?)

Gale Points up to the skies.

Gale

Tignan mo oh! Ang Ganda ng paglubog ng araw, Akyat muna tayo sa

rooftop ng condo kaagad..

(Look at it! The beautiful sunset, we should go up the condo’s

rooftop right away)

Al

Babae naman o, May gagawin pako

(Oh C’mon girl, I still have stuff to do)

Gale tightens her hug around Al’s waists

In a baby tone voice.

Gale

Siiiggeeee naaa pleaasseeeee?

(Pleeeeeese? Come onnnnnn)

Al sighs and agrees.

Al

Sige na nga, wag masyado matagal ha?

(ALright, we don’t take too long okay?)

Gale nods and smiles as they ride through the traffic.

EXT. ROOFTOP

Worm’s view of Gale and Al climbing up the stairs.

Al tries to catch his breath, as Gale pushes the door open

showing the sunset over the city.

Both panting sits on a bunch of pipes.

As they caught their breath, Gale closes her eyes as she

breathes in calmly enjoying the sunset.

Gale

See, ang ganda diba?

(See? Its nice right?)

Yeah

Gale looks at Al.

Gale

Al… Mahal mo ba ko?

(Al, do you love me?)

Al, surprised and caught off guard shakingly says.

Al

Ay ababa Oo naman, parang ikaw na buong buhay ko eh hahaha, san

pa ba ako makakita ng kaibigang tulad mo.

(Why of course I do, Its like you’re my entire life ahaha, where
else would I find a friend like you?)

Gale looks sad and stares down the city, 50 floors up from the
rooftop and looks at Al and says..

Gale

Oh Al What would I do without you?

Then Gale suddenly jumps off the building

As she's falling, a serene sound plays in her head,
she looks up as her tears fly away from her and the only she
could is Al screaming on the ledge.

Al

GALE! GALE! GAAAALLEEEE!!

Snaps back to Gale staring at the city from the ledge looking
sad.

Gale now stares endlessly at the city skyline.

Al sees this and lifts her face up by her cheek.
Al chuckles.
Al smiles filled with Passion.

Al

Kapag sinaktan ka niya..

Gale, as her eyes open staring at Al

Al

Your tall stature hides your little frail heart..

Yet I heard it's strong and bold now..

Go on my love, go on,

Al gently holds Gale's hand.

Al

These hands will hang for you to hold whence you cry,
One day you’ll maybe want to die,
Call me and we’ll talk, I’ll bring Pie

The Pie line catches Gale off-guard and she giggles.

Al

Stay wise my love, stay wise,

Let me know when your mind is filled with sorrow,

Rest with me for the night and then I’ll bring to the mountains
tomorrow,

Al stands like in a musical, and pulls her up.

Al

I’ll bring you to places where heights are great,

Where you can scream your heart out with nothing at stake,
We’ll feast til we can take no more,
I promise I will not bore,

Al Climbs up a pole like singing in the rain.

Gale exclaims.

Gale

HUY MAHULOG KA JAN!

(Hey You might fall!)

Al goes down and stands beside her pointing at the city skyline
as the skies turn purple.
Al continues.

Al

And as the stars blanket the night,

Behold above the cities, a majestic sight..

“Where?” You’ll ask.. and I’ll lightly pinch your cheek then hug
you tight and whisper..

Look not in the stars, for their beauty fades..

Look not in the lights for they grow dark..
Look not in the seas for they wash away..
And look not in me, for I am the poet, but I’ll tell you what I
see..

Al sits Gale down as he looks into her eyes and says.

Al

I’ll look you in the eye, “Look into my eyes.. They say its the
windows to the soul.. and windows are made out of glass.. now
look at the glass.. its night now.. you’ll see not of whats
inside.. but.. you’ll see yourself.. the night will hide whats
inside and will show you what matters now..” as you gaze upon
the reflection of yourself you peel backwards and express “Awwee
thats sweet”

Gale surprised as it went in unison when she exclaimed

Awee that's sweet

Al pulls Gale up and puts her into a waltz dance position.

Al

Then I’ll pull you up and take your hand.. as you tower over
me.. We’ll dance.. and I’ll tell tales of old, not my stories
but those carried by doves,

And as I drive you back home, I’ve yet to take you to another
place.. a place wherein our hearts can rejoice and our cravings
be satisfied..

EXT. ROAD

Cuts to Al holding Gale by the hand and their running to the

motorcycle and snap montage of them putting the helmet on and
riding towards a Midnight Diner who sells Ice creams

INT. DINER

Al continues.

The ice cream shop

Hours and Hours will pass by as the listener imagines this scene
of us through a diner’s window zooming out,
And we’ll be like billionaires spending hours and hours with
laughters and stories carelessly,

INT. CONDO
Cuts to Al walking Gale to her room.

Al

As the night ends I’ll walk you to your porch, holding your
hand,
As we reach your door, subtle creeks on your wooden floor, We
hug and you say your thanks I’ll look you in the eye, “..’tis
night not for you to get over him, is not so that you’ll think
of leaving..the Almighty crafted this night for you to rest,
reset, and give you strength on whatsoever you may decide
next...” and as you close the door saying goodbye.
After all,

Al whispers.

I’ll always be here when you cry.

INT. GALE’S UNIT

The night ends as Gale sleep in her room and Al passing out on
her couch.

Gale opens the door and sees Al passed out on the couch.
Gale thinks to herself.

Gale

Nako tulog-mantika pala to haha

(Oh he’s a heavy sleeper)

Gale goes to prepare coffee for the both of them.

Al still hasn’t woken up, and Gale was going to meet with her
boyfriend, so she scrambles an egg and fries some slices of
bacon and places a few slices of bread on a plate, and leaves a
note on the table.

Gale’s Note

magalmusal ka na muna bag.o ka pumunta sa unit mo.

(Have some breakfast before you go back to your unit)

DREAM SEQUENCE:

Al wakes up lost in space, forever floating into nothingness.

Al sees lights travel and flash before his eyes.
AL suddenly he falls to his knees on a mountain the looks over
the sea.

And he sees himself and a lot of other versions of himself

Sees doing different things, different professions, different
lives.

Al wakes up confused.
Rack focuses on the Post-it note.

Al picks up the note and eats. And he tidies up the couch he

left leaving another note saying

“Thanks for the eggs”

Al packs up and leaves.

EXT. ROOFTOP

Al walks back up to the rooftop.

He now ponders on the possibility of whether he could be in

love.

In love not to the woman he likes, but maybe to his best friend.
Al shrugs off this theory of his.

INT. AL’S ROOM

Al lay restless as he ponders again and again on this

possibility.

He walks back and forth in his room.

Sits down at the edge of his bed.

He gets up and says to himself.

Al

Tang ina! Bakit ayaw mawala to sa utak ko!

(Fuck, why does this not disappear from my mind)

His phone rings, it’s a tweet from Gale.

Al throws his phone on his bed and grunts.

Al desperate for mental clarity whips out his journal.

He embodies himself of that which a person who considers falling

in love with Gale.

Al takes a deep breath and writes.

Al
Sa susunod na buhay..

(In the next life)

Al continues.

Al

Isang gabi sa kwarto ko,

Habang ako’y nag mumuni muni,

Nabasa ko yung tweet mo na mahilig ka rin pala sa mga tula..

tila ako’y namangha,
Sabi ko panga eh “Sana ol”

“Sana ol”, napaisip ako,

“Sana ol” Napatanong ako sa sarili ko..

“Paano kung Lahat ng mga tula kong para sa kanya, Ay gawing kong
para sayo?”

Al stops and stares as his blank wall.

A montage of happy memories with Gale plays as an overlay.

Al

Imposibleh ata tong naiisip kong “sana”,

Dahil ang puso koy bihag parin niya..

Gale’s Montage is cut to blank and a montage of the girl Al

likes plays an overlay.

Al shakes his head and in annoyance.

Al exclaims.

Al

DI NGAAAAA, KUNWARY NGA SI GALE ANG MAHAL KO, Munting utak ko

naman o.

(This small brain of mine! I meant what if I was inlove with

Gale)

Cuts to memories with Gale, as they adventured before.

AL continues to write.

Pero di ko mabura sa isipan ko...

para itong bagong posas na kinabit sa mga kamay ko..
Para itong bango ng ulam na luto ng nanay ko..

Di ko maintindihan ang dahilan na ito’y nananatili sa isipan

ko..
So eto..

Al takes a deep breath and writes.

Al

Sa susunod na buhay.. ikaw naman ang hahanapin ko..

Sa panibagong lakbay ikaw naman ang hahabulin ko..

Baka sa susunod na habang buhay.. ikaw..

Ikaw naman ang iintayin ko kadagabi..

Ikaw naman ang ihahatid ko pauwi..
Sayong ngiti naman ako’y mabibighani..
Sa mga mata mo’y akoy mapatitig..
Baka.. baka naman..

Al continues to write as tears start to fall from his eyes.

Sa susunod na buhay..

Kamay moy nais kong mahawakan..

Halik moy nais kong maramdaman..
Boses mo’y palaging pakikingan..

Puso mo’y nais mahalin..

Mahalin ng labis labis at walang kulang..

Pakingan ka na walang kapuyat puyat..

Al breaks down as he cries over this

Al

Tang ina di ko na maintindihan..

Baka sa susunod na buhay..

Al sighs and writes.

Al

Ikaw naman ang mamahalin ko..

..katapusan..

Al tries to catch his breath from his tears.

He wipes his tears, drinks a glass of water and jumps to bed and
sleeps.

Al reaches for his lamp switch and turns it off.

INT. AL’S BEDROOM

He wakes up and thinks everything was just a dream

He readies up grabs his keys and walks up to Gale’s unit.

INT. HALLWAY

Al walks up to Gale’s door and knocks gently, gets no response.

Al is shocked of this and knocks again and still there was no
response.
Finally after the Nth time of knocking Gale opens up fresh out
of bed, with bed hair, barely awake swaying back and forth.

Gale

O *yawns* napakatok ka?

(What brings you here?)

Al giggles and says.

Ay babae sorry, *sarcastically* Monday pala ngayon akala ko

saturday, sige aalis na-

Gale shocked.

Gale

Huy ano? Monday NGAYON?! MAYGAD MGA ALARM KO DI NAG ALARM! WAIT
LANG LALAKE MGA 10MINS.

(Uhmm wait what? It’s Monday today?! OH MY GOD MY ALARMS DIDNT

GO OFF, BOY GIVE ME 10MINS.)

Al chuckles and sits and wait at Gale’s Couch as you could hear
Gale wrestling with her stuff from behind her door.

Gale

UY READY NAKO ARATS NA

(HEY IM READY, C’MON LET’S GO)

EXT. ROAD

Comical speed racer type of sequence as Al and Gale race through

As the two run of to their classroom.

Al feels the nudge that kinda attracts her with Gale.
Al refuses this, as she shrugs of the feeling and says.

Al
Ah mga feelings lang to sa pagsusulat na di pako naka get over.

darating ang araw na magsisi kang di mo sinabi yan.

(Oh No my friend! Thats Dangerous! Don't hide your feelings or

else a day will come that you’ll regret not saying them.)

Al having been bewildered of all this.

Al only fell in love to his crush, but since this is somehow
different.

Hay nako meet me in the painting room after this class, total
wala naman si sir next period natin.

The bell rang Al, packs up and goes to the painting room

Theon arrives and locks the door.

Anjan ka pala! Kanina pako hanap ng hanap sayo hahaha tapos na

class ko pero can I stay a few mins before we go home? May
tatapusin lang kami ng groupmates ko.

(There you are! I’ve been looking everywhere for you, So my

class is finished but can I stay a few minutes? I have something
to finish with my groupmates.

Al and Theon say their goodbyes and part ways.

Al was eating eggs as he was writing on the side of his journal.

A waitress goes to him.

Waitress

Maybe a strawberry milkshake? Yeah a strawberry milkshake.

The waitress nods and takes his order and goes back to the
counter.

While the waitress was preparing his drink, Al sees a bunch of

highschool couples, arguing about such mundane things, such
childish things.

Al then writes.

Where to put a ring on one finger no longer waits for a
blessing, but binds temporary things

Then he scrolls on his phone, and sees post after post of broken

That a man no longer raises flowers but bars
love no longer binds a couple in marriage but binds one's legs
that they may never escape commitment.

Cut to the pair just laughing over dinner.

HAhahaha Hay nako babae ganyan talaga sa class ni Ma’am.. O sha

mauwi na nga tayo.

(Oh God girl, it's always like that in mrs’ class, alright we
should be heading out.)

EXT. PARKING LOT

Al and Gale ride the motorcycle and head out.

EXT. ROAD.

As a calm breeze blows through the helmets.

Gale tightens her hug on AL’s waist.

Al and Gale sit and stare at the city skyline as the sunset.

An intense silence grips the two.

Al.. naaalala mo ba yung tanong natin dati? Yung bago pa tayo
nagging best friends?

Al looks at Gale

Al

Ano nga ulit yung tanong mo?

“Pano kung naging tayo?”

(What was your question again? “What if we ended up together?)

Gale nods.

Al hugs Gale.

They pick up their stuff and go on their way.

Al arrives in his room and as he closes the door he falls to the

Al draggingly walks to his bed and sits.

Al then pulled out his journal.

He pulls out a pen.
Al then begins to cry.

At this point Al is drowning on the thought that he really might

be in love with Gale.

Al wipes his tears then sits down on the floor.

He takes a deep breath and says

Pero pag pasok ko sa kwarto,

Al starts to break down.

His voice cracks as he says

“Mahal, alam kong din naging tayo,
Di rin kita minahal, pero subalit ako'y palaging nandito sa
mundo mo,
Ako’y naging parte na ng buhay mo,
Araw-araw na kakaisip, kakahanap mo sakin,

May mahal akong iba,

Al falls to the floor on his knees.

Paalam, sana ako’y iyong mapatawad,
Alam kong di kasalanan ang pag alis ko sa buhay pero sorry

Hiling ko lang naman ay manatili ka.

Munting kaibigan, ayaw kong mawala ka,
Alam kong kamay niya’y hawak ko,
Pero sana manatili ka sa tabi ko.

Sa paglakbay namin ay sana nandiyan ka sa likod ko,

Kaibigan, salamat sa lahat ng ginawa mo para sakin.. paalam..”

Al gets a chair and prepares his noose.

He puts it arounds his neck and jumps.

Zooming out as Al hung.

Al heads to the kitchen to make some coffee.

He hears a knock on the door.

(Hey Gale, It’s a sunday today, what makes you pass by?)

Al lets her in and they set the table.

Al and Gale wash the dishes and go to the living room.

Al
Soooo anong teleserye ang panonorin natin?

(So what television series shall we watch?)

Gale ponders yet eventually they choose something.

Whilst they are watching, Gale’s phone rings and it’s her
boyfriend.

Gale picks up the phone.

Ah ngayon na? Eh magkasama kami ni Al ngayon.. Sama siya? Sige

Gale puts down the phone.

Uy lunch daw tayo sabi ni Mahal.

(My boyfriend told me that let's have lunch)

Al agrees and they go to the venue.

INT. A RESTAURANT

Gale’s boyfriend was already waiting.

Kuha muna ako ng mga makain.

(I’ll get something to eat.)

Gale sees this big sign for an open mic impromptu spoken poetry.

Gale rushes back to their table.

Gale makes a face.

After a while of convincing Al gives and signs up.

Open mic event starts.

Beautiful impromptu pieces were said.

Al and Gale loved being in the midst of poetry.

Then Al’s name was called.

Al stands up.

He is given 2 mins on stage to think of a subject and crack on

with it.

Al, after two minutes, was ready.

Al
I’ll call this one
“The plea”

The crowd fades to quiet.

Gale and her Boyfriend are filled with excitement.

Yet Lord, please, allow me to have a glimpse of what love feels

And above all,

Al looks over to Gale.

Allow me to have a glimpse of how life is by her side..

Al then closes his eyes.

And in the end..

The crowd roars and claps, there are some tears that fall from
the audience.

yan ginawan ko ng spoken word.

Al is eating a sandwich as he sits on the edge.

He listens to the sound of traffic.

Al stands up and begins to question.

I'm not myself when I write.

A voice in the background.

Well.. let’s put it like this.

Al looks at Theon.

Theon consoles Al.

Morning was fast approaching.
Al and Theon slowly walked back to the condo.

Al shocked.

Theon
Gusto mo lumikha ng storya mo dahil pagod na pagod ka na sa
kakatanong sa sarili mo na kung sino sa mga nakaraang buhay ang
talagang gusto ni Gale?

(You want to make your own story because you are so tired of
asking yourself which of your past lives are the ones really
inlove with Gale?)

Al remains quiet.
