Consuelo, how will you carry out their lives and

mission?

1. The characteristics of St. Augustine that I can relate the most in my own personal life is humility
and truthfulness. Through his experience of spiritual searching, Augustine realized that only a
person of humility can follow Christ. He then went on to teach that humility is the basic Christian
virtue. Personally, I could relate to this not only as an individual but also as a Christian. To seek
God, and his truths we must become humble. By applying humility into our personal lives we
acknowledge that we need God in every aspect of our life. Humility allows us to fully submit to
God, keeps us from sin, and increases our gratitude. Besides humility another characteristic of
Augustine is truthfulness. He believed that truth was necessary, immutable and eternal for God.
Truth is necessary because it is the foundation of all human virtues, immutable because the
truth cannot be changed or revised, and lastly eternal for it is everlasting.
2. The mission of Mother Rita and Venerable Mother Consuelo is still relevant in today’s time for
there is still a place for charity and faith in today’s world. A few years back we had faced a global
pandemic. Many were struggling financially, emotionally, and physically. Now, in our current
state we are slowly overcoming this pandemic and we wouldn’t have had achieved this without
helping each other hand in hand. This is why I can say their mission is still portrayed in today’s
time for through charity we get to spread the love of God, help those who are in need, rise
through hardships together, and get to live on our faith.
3. There are many ways for us to help the poor. By spreading awareness, by encouraging others to
help those who are in need, by being the example ourselves, and by preaching the word of God.
Spreading awareness through social platforms and by being an example to others would
encourage them to step up and help those who are in need. By preaching the word of God we
also empower them to become hopeful. Our faith helps us discover our purpose in life, it is what
helps us overcome the trials and difficulties we may face. Lastly, we should treat them equally
and sympathize with their situation. By displaying acts of kindness and understanding we
already contribute a big help to those who are struggling.
4. If I were Mother Rita and Venerable Mother Consuelo, I will carry out their lives and mission by
continuing the example that they have let on. By helping those in need and by inspiring others
to do the same. By exhibiting values of charity, kindness, and sympathy.
