Materials: Pencil, Paper, Acrylic Paints

Time frame: 1-2 weeks

Students will plan out what complimentary colors can work together to create a unique art piece

Students will be able to use color theory to create a painting of their own topic or object.

Present the color wheel
Review the vocabulary: primary and complimentary colors

Create thumbnail sketches of proposed plans.
Draw and paint object or topic of choice
Write an artist statement that explains artwork.
