6. Fire Signal, Fault Signal & Fire Protection
Modification to Watermist Relay Control Output Specification:
1. Panel: (Note that terminals are dual marked for both
configurations described below)
Mod 1: (System Abnormal)
 Monitored Powered Outputs (as shown in
 Relay R50/2 – change from Normally Open
Figure 20):
to Normally Closed (de-energised).
Fire & Fire Protection Outputs:
 Remove the 6k8 resistor connected
between wires 315 and 314. Quiescent: 2Vdc
 Use two spare field terminals to connect a Active (fire): 24Vdc nominal
10k 0.25W resistor in series with R50/2. Fault Output:
Mod 2: (System Operated) Quiescent: 24Vdc nominal
 Replace the 6k8 resistor connected Active (fault): 2Vdc
between wires 315 & 316 with a 10k 0.25W Connections:
resistor. Observe correct polarity
 Use two spare field terminals to connect a (+ positive, - negative)
680R 1W resistor in series with R44/3.
 Volt-Free change-over relay contacts:
Mod 3: (Fault Input from T1216W-C)
Fire & Fire Protection Outputs:
 Add a fault interface relay (RL FLT I/F) and
connect the Normally Open contact (relay Volt-free relay contacts are shown in the
