In the lesson, I learned about comparison and contrast and also the methods, which are

the block method and the point-by-point method. Knowing this will allow me to differentiate or
associate the two topics, or ideas, I am thinking and talking about. An example of an experience
where comparison-contrast was present and significant was when I was debating which album to
buy. Finally, in our daily life, we need comparison and contrast in writing and sharing
information as it helps us analyze and discuss things or elements that are similar and different. It
also helps us persuade and better explain or expound our ideas when writing and sharing our
thoughts and information.

That is great. I hope you truly understand the topic and will apply it in real-life situations and in
writing.

Yes, I think it makes sense.

Yes, I see this pattern anywhere in our culture today. We are prisoners to our own thoughts. Our minds
are a powerful yet complicated thing. I have felt myself a "prisoner" of many things, which also include my
own thoughts. One example of the thoughts that have made me feel like a "prisoner" is that I am not
doing enough and I need to do more and go beyond my limit.

My Why's:

 Do well in school and finish my studies so I can find a job and pay back my mother and make her
efforts and sacrifices worthwhile.

 To have a stable and comfortable future for myself and the people around me.

 the aspiration to be able to travel the world

 the desire to be a girl boss

We have faced numerous difficulties in our lives. We all react differently to it, and it has varying
effects on our lives. As for me, I respond to the difficulties, or as we call them, "challenges," in five
ways. The five ways are to (1) suck it up and face it, (2) ask for help or guidance, (3) work smart, not
hard, (4) ponder, decide, and act, and (5) think positively about the difficulty. Even though I have the
courage and ways to respond and face it, these difficulties I faced have left an effect on my life. It
had me thinking about giving up on life. In regards to this thought, I immediately thought of my
"Why's" in life in order to eliminate that idea. Some of the "Why's" in my life that strengthen me to
keep on living are my family, the aspiration to repay my mother, and the goal to travel around the
world. In relation to our topic "Man's Search for Meaning," we can apply the learning to our current
crisis we are experiencing today through reflecting and following the three lessons mentioned. In
summary and reflection, the three lessons are as follows: (1) we must discover our reason for living;
(2) we live for someone whom we love; and (3) we can choose how we approach our circumstances,
which challenges us to change. In summary, in life, we face different difficulties, but this does not
mean we should end our lives. We should find and know the meaning that pushes us to continue to
live.
