Dear Parents, Thank you for trusting us, Junior English Course, as institution where
your children can develop their ability in English. Junior has commitment to make
students of Junior always motivated to learn and confident to express their opinions
and ideas in English. Because of that, we always inform their development at Junior to
the parents every month.
During this month, students have learned one unit of Super Minds 5. Here is the
detail description;
In unit 9, students got new vocabularies related mysterious things at the sea like
hydra, mermaid Loch Ness and so on. Students also learned grammar focus about
present perfect tense (already&yet). They also got reading for pleasure entitled “The
Mary Celeste”. Through this story students learn to apply imaginative interpretation of
a text.
For teaching and learning process, we plan to finish the workbook and continue
to learn the next unit of Super Minds 5. Therefore, please help and encourage the
students in reviewing the lesson at home. For building more motivation to speak
English, please encourage your children to speak in English at home. We would kindly
inform you to put some comments on students’ monthly progress report and return it to

During this month, students have learned one unit of Super Minds 2. Here is the
detail description;
In unit 7, students studied about means of transportation, such as; truck, lorry,
jet, helicopter, bus, bike, etc. Students learned grammar about present continuous
tense for example; “What are you doing”, “ I’ m waiting for a bus”. I’d like to go to
(Jakarta), I’d like to see (Monas), etc. Students had reading for pleasure “The Bus
Trip”, through this story, students learned to be generous from this story. Students
learned phonics, the letter sounds /u/, /e/, /ew/, /ue/, /oe/. Students also learned
about measuring.
For teaching and learning process, we plan to finish the workbook and continue
to learn the next unit of Super Minds 2. Therefore, please help and encourage the
students in reviewing the lesson at home. For building more motivation to speak
English, please encourage your children to speak in English at home. We would kindly

During this month, students have learned two units of Super Minds 1. Here are
the detail descriptions;
In unit 5, Students learned about days of the week as well as activities that they
did each day, for example; I play soccer on Saturdays, I go swimming on monday, etc.
Students also had ask and answer such as; “Do you watch TV on the weekend? “Yes, I
do/ No, I don’t”. Student had reading for pleasure “My perfect week”. Students also
learned about healthy and unhealthy activities, students identified and decided which
pictures were healthy activities and which were not. Student also had a project,
students did c class survey, they asked and answered activities they did in one day for
example; “How many hours a week do you play sports”, “I play sports four hours a
week”. After doing the class survey, students made a bar chart and presented in front
of the class.
For teaching and learning process, we plan to finish the workbook and continue
to learn the next unit of Super Minds 3. Therefore, please help and encourage the

In unit 5, students got new vocabularies related to physical apperance such as:
blond, muscular, mustache, dimple, scar, wavy, oval face, etc. Students also learned
“used to” and “had to”, they had reading for pleasure entitled “Yatin and the orange
tree”, through this story students learned to be honest. They also had studied about
crime fiction as weel as some famous crime fiction writer such as Agatha Christie.
For teaching and learning process, we plan to finish the workbook and continue
to learn the next unit of Super Minds 4. Therefore, please help and encourage the
students in reviewing the lesson at home. For building more motivation to speak

In unit six, students studied new vocabularies related to Tools and machines
such as; hammer, screwdriver, lever, spanner, workbench, drill, switch etc. Students
also studied “modal verbs”, “present progressive tense”. Students also had reading for
pleasure entitled “Not The Best Day”. Through this story students learned about the
sporting spirit. Students had also learned biology, they had learned about muscles.
For teaching and learning process, we plan to finish the workbook and continue
to learn the next unit of Super Minds 6. Therefore, please help and encourage the
