6.2.2.1.4 Membranes Replacement

Although this operation involves no major difficulties, some precautions should be taken with particular at-
tention to the extraction of the membranes. Following to the stroke adjustment, locking washer(s) may have
been inserted between the connecting rod head d and the membrane c. During the maintenance procedure,
those washers may fall inside the crankcase.

Unscrew the central screw, release the membrane from the connecting rod (beware of possible falling
washers).

For each membrane, if applicable, note the number of washer(s).

Note: When mounting back, the same number of washer(s) must be put back!

Remove the aluminium disks. Clean the disks with an abrasive sponge or a fine emery paper. Finish with a
clean rag soaked with alcohol. The aluminium must return shiny, smooth and traceless.

Open the crankcase, and with the help of the flywheel bring the connecting rod to the outside.
