MASTER OF
THE SEAS
We do things a bit differently. A luxury expedition
yacht born from an innovative crossover of yachting
and shipbuilding technology, the SeaXplorer is unlike
any yacht on the market. You’ll understand when you
meet the creative, driven minds in our SeaXplorer team.
Their maverick thinking is part of our Damen DNA,
it’s the entrepreneurial spirit that led to our first Navy
submarine, our first ice-breaking Coast Guard ship, our
first Amels superyacht and many other innovations.
Daring to be different has made us the diverse global
shipbuilder that we are today. It’s who we are. We can’t
help but be different. If you recognise that feeling, the
SeaXplorer 105 is made for you.

EXCELLENCE
Heading to the polar zones doesn’t need to mean
leaving your comfort zone. SeaXplorer expedition
yachting means taking the safety, reliability and
performance you expect from your yacht right
to the edges of the world.
Spectacular landscapes, fascinating wildlife and an otherworldly isolation. The polar regions offer extraordinary
experiences at the edge of our planet. The Arctic and Antarctica are challenging, sometimes hostile,
environments. But with the right yacht, you can live in 7-star comfort without compromise.

SAFETY ABOVE
ALL ELSE
Antarctica. Svalbard. The Northwest Passage. These are the benchmarks, the most challenging
cruising grounds for any yacht. The inherent challenges include poorly charted coasts, risks
from icebergs in fast-changing weather and seas, unpredictable wildlife, you name it. But if
you can get here, if you can undertake this journey safely, the rewards are indescribable.

• Polar Class 7 ice strengthening

Even small changes in polar winds and currents can quickly lead to your yacht being surrounded by close pack
ice, which can be very dangerous for yachts without extra strengthening. The SeaXplorer complies with the IMO DIESEL ELECTRIC ICE CLASS HYBRID

WINCH DESIGN

The Main Owners Suite on the SeaXplorer 77 by Jim Dixon and his team at Winch
Design shows a concept for custom interiors. The SeaXplorer 105 has two Owners
Suites, plus 10 luxury guest suites for a total of 24 guests on board.

“The better you get to know a client’s lifestyle, the better you
can create something uniquely personal to them.”

Jim Dixon - Winch Design

“This is cruising, but completely different. The
Earth is so big and our life is so short, so we have
to explore as much as we can.”

Oleg Tinkov - Owner M/Y LA DATCHA

LA DATCHA Whether in tropical or polar destinations around the world, LA DATCHA stands out with her re-
markable colour scheme and large volume, six-deck superstructure – full of outdoor deck space.

Drawn immediately to the SeaXplorer concept, the Owner of

LA DATCHA had a unique vision for a yacht that combines adventure
sport with the luxury experience. He spearheaded the extensive
design process to customise the SeaXplorer platform.

Heliskiing is a big part of the LA DATCHA experience – with trips to the Kuril
Islands, the Kamchatka peninsula, Chutotka and Alaska – and for that two heli-
copters are essential. LA DATCHA’s unique helicopter solution perfectly meets the
Owner’s brief for this. There is the fully certified primary helideck, a standby deck
for the second helicopter and both aircraft can fit in the below-deck hangar. She
promises adventure without any compromise on luxury.
“The pure and natural
theme can also be recalled
through the design themes
incorporated into the
interiors which draw the
natural elements in with
references to water, air,
earth, wind and fire.”
Vasiliy Shprits Studio - Interior design

MAIN OWNERS SUITE

To create the interiors, the Owner selected designer Vasiliy Shprits, the architect behind all of
the Tinkoff Collection LA DATCHA properties. Throughout the yacht’s interior, there are hints
of inspirational folk tales. For example the Russian folk tale about the man who had to pass
through fire, water and copper pipes to save the girl he loved. This little ‘Russian touch’ can be
found, for example, in the Main Salon where fire is literally featured in the dining table’s fire
pits, water is recalled through the bar counter’s ice top feature and the coffee table’s frozen
liquid style and bronze detailing has been added throughout as an ode to the copper pipes.
SPA AND
WELLNESS
For a true luxury resort experience, LA DATCHA’s huge spa area offers
the complete wellness package – an indoor hot water jacuzzi, a sauna
& steam bath, massage room and a fully equipped gym. From the fully
air-conditioned space, guests can open the glass sliding doors and
step outside on the Swim Platform to experience tropical breezes or
the bracing polar air.

“I’ve explored Kamchatka quite well with the helicopter but it

would be quite nice to explore it from the shore, more remote
territories and see the far east of Russia and then continue on
to Alaska. From there, we can go on and do so many things.”

Oleg Tinkov - Owner M/Y LA DATCHA

In the LA DATCHA Tinkoff Collection created by Mr Tinkov, luxury and sport

go hand in hand. He offers his holiday homes to those who share his favourite
passions in life – beautifully designed style and luxury while enjoying the
world’s top adventure sport destinations. Today LA DATCHA includes five of
his residences, from alpine skiing in France to fishing off the Baja Peninsula.
