Sir,     

In line with the Government’s emphasis and endeavours towards a “Swatchh Bharat”, the
Employees’ PF Organization has instituted an award on Swachhata- the first of which was
given on the occasion of foundation day Ceremony on Ist Nov, 2019. 

In continuation and as part of the celebrations under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, EPFO will be
celebrating its iconic week beginning 21" of Feb, 2022 with several activities including award
on “Swachhata” to be awarded to one office on the strength of following factors:

1. The general upkeep, ambiance and cleanliness of office premises with particular
reference to the state of:

a. PRO and Facilitation Centre

b. Drinking Water Dispensing Area
c. Washrooms
d. Office Corridors and Passages
e. Record Room
f. Canteen

2. Any proactive measures taken by office to ensure sensitivity towards cleanliness,

hygiene and environment. Such activities may include the following:

a. Any measure to conserve/recycle/harvest water/provision of solar power

b. Segregation of Waste Materials based on their biodegradability
c. Any proactive measures to rationalize usage of paper etc. to reduce carbon footprint
d. Cleanliness and beautification of surroundings. Sponsoring green plantations in the near
by area through the horticulture Department
e. Weeding out drives
f. Disposal of e-waste by following the Government of India norms
g. Segregation of old records, enlisting safekeeping and weeding out of the record
h. % of space freed with reference to point f and g
i. Proper installation of electric fittings (cables, wires, ACs, electric boards)
j. Pest control regularly done in Section/office space
k. Uploading before and after photographs of special campaigns.

3.  ISO Certificate acquired 

All such offices desirous of being considered for “Swachhata Award” are required to submit a
report ( as per Annexure-A) along with a 2/3 minutes video to the Zonal Office by 21st
January, 2022. The reports of competing offices shall include a 2/3 minutes video and
information in the enclosed format (in excel format only).
