We dedicate this Compendium study to our families and relatives for their guidance,
moral support and unconditional love. To our friends and classmates for their opinions and help
with regards of our compendium to finished it well. Especially to our under supervisory Mrs.
Villa Cruz Marivic the school librarian for her patiently reform our mistakes and her moral
support for our compendium study until the end.
To ourselves and co-students to the whole St. Peter’s College of Misamis Oriental
incorporated, and above all our almighty God for his guidance, protection, strength, wisdom and
his endless love that make us strongly believe that his will is more powerful than ours to look
forward and always think positive in all times.
We are hoping that this compendium study gave such an honor to our school, that we
fulfill our duty and serve better during in our internship and to the following graduates who are
next with us, it will help and guide them.

INTRODUCTION
Internship program is a job training that occurs in the workplace. It is meant to provide
students with an opportunity to complement their formal learning with practical knowledge,
skills and desirable attitudes and to gain hands on experience in recognized Host Training
establishment (H T E).
This program will contain the intern experience when they are going to their real work.
All the data’s written here in this compilation are the experiences inside the institution or
organization’s office where was assigned to conduct the students internship training.

History of St. Peter’s College of Misamis Oriental Incorporated
St. Peter’s College was established when its permit was issued in January 1950 by the
director of the Bureau of Private Schools, Manila, authorizing the school to offer the Junior
Normal Course (E.T.C.), 2-Year Associate in Arts (A.A.) and the first two years Bachelor of
Science in Education (B.S.E.). During the early days classes were held in rented rooms and
buildings. In the regular school year of 1950-1951, additional courses were offered: Complete
Elementary and Complete High School as needed for the Training Department of the E.T.C. and
B.S.E. students. Stenography and Typewriting were also offered some time later.
In 1950-1951, the administration was able to acquire a lot owned by the local government
of Balingasag, along the 15th de Septiembre Street facing the public plaza, where the first St.
Peter’s College building was constructed. The purchase was facilitated through the
representation of Atty. Alejo E. Olano. Through the joint resolution of the Municipal Council,
the sale was concluded and approved by the Municipal Mayor, Jose P. Roa, who was also
interested in the progress of Balingasag. Before the end of the school year 1950-1951, the
construction of the school building by Engineer Dodong Salazar of Cebu was completed and all
courses offered were recognized by the Government.
On April 22, 1954, the first commencement exercises was held with a handful of
graduates in Elementary, High School and Collegiate Departments. Since then, the School
gradually improved and the enrolment increased. On July 29, 1969 the co-founder of the school,
Mrs. Escolastica Punongbayan Paguio, died.
On October 25, 1973, a great fire in Balingasag burnt down almost all of the commercial
buildings, including the St. Peter’s College building, which was totally razed to the ground.

Again the school started to hold classes in rented rooms, including the Balingasag Parish Hall,
offered without charge as a temporary classroom by Archbishop Patrick H. Cronin of Cagayan
de Oro City. Not long after, through the cooperation of the teaching staff with the High School
Principal Pedro L. Olario and under the leadership of Ms. Fe C. Patalinghug, the director of the
school at that time, and Gregorio N. Abuzo, the Registrar/Comptroller constructed a temporary
school building while waiting to be rehabilitated in the future.
Years later Natividad J. Mofar, the Dean of College, with some of the staff conducted
career guidance to the different graduating high school students in the eastern part of Misamis
Oriental which drew more students to enrol to the six different courses that the school offered.
Collegiate department inspired by the administrative staff and the members of the faculty
through the leadership of Enrico R. Valmores the Executive Vice-president, Miguel D. Paguio
the President of the institution decided to continue the construction of the two-storey concrete
school building (main building) on the same site where the temporary classrooms stood. It was
opened on December 27, 1997. The President, Miguel D. Paguio decided to put up a three-storey
concrete building (Annex Building) in the old school site facing the public plaza. Construction
was started on April 19, 1999 and completed in May 2010 under the School Administrator Lita
S. Ladera. Natividad J. Mofar died in August 2010; Judith A Pundaodaya became College Dean.
Since the school’s foundation, thousands of students have graduated in different levels of
education.

The Birth of an Institution
St. Peter’s College of Balingasag (formerly St. Peter’s College of Misamis Oriental) is a
private school and college in the municipality of Balingasag, province of Misamis Oriental,
Philippines. It was founded in 1950.
Growth and Changes: Becoming a Stronger Institution
.Years later Natividad J. Mofar, the Dean of College, with some of the staff conducted
career guidance to the different graduating high school students in the eastern part of Misamis
Oriental which drew more students to enroll to the six different courses that the school offered.

Learning Outcomes
The training we had in the institution of St. Peter’s College of Misamis Oriental Inc. is
that we are exposed to the actual work. In the first duties we have in our internship. We feel

nervous something that, how or what we would like to do and no idea what to do. We are so
silent in placed where we assigned of our boss. Every time they have wanted to please us we
should listen carefully to make our task well.
As their intern student, we’ve been learned from their institution to observe and
perseverance at all time to satisfy the customer desires and to the fellow workers someday. The
time when the boss or someone please on you, as a worker of the organization we should know
how to follow the instructions given by you. For the clarification of the assignment have given
by you from the boss we should know how importance to be not ashamed to asked question of
them.
As a worker in one of the organization some day we should know the function we have
inside of the organization for us to make it sure that we’re working with them in a right way and
for we’ve build a good communication to the customers and to the fellow’s worker in the
company. As an employee someday, we should know how to focus of the assigned area’s where
was given by our boss because to focused is a vital important for us to performed and to satisfy
the costumer desires.
As an intern student when we have to entertain the customer we should have to face them
with a moral for they were able to express their feelings for asking what they need by showing a
good personality of them as a worker, it’s a big helps of the companies development and
progress.
On the employee, If he or she has a trouble and problem in life they shouldn’t bring their
emotion where they are to assign. It’s because it can cause the damage of the company’s image
and it can make the customer loss of interest to explain their desires.

Nothing beats experience as the perfect learning tool. The internship program served as
our stepping- stone to pursue our dreams to be a professional someday. This training gave us an
inspiration to be more serious and focused in our study.
The experience we’ve learned during our internship program, it can mold us to be strong
and competent employee, we can say that we are good enough to take the battle field in real
world of work. We can proved that we are a model and good enough to take some work where
we place to assign.
The experience during our internship program it’s a big helped for us to make our work
easier someday and those experience we have it was molding us a good one such like to be a
looking good professional in our physical, mentality, spirituality and emotionality. To have an
internship program in the institution it’s a big help and opportunity to those student who are
willing and trying to take as their works someday.

Weekly Accomplishment
Week 01- March 07-11, 2022

In a month of March, we started our Internship and assigned in the Library Department. As we
start our first day in Internship we are obliged to do our work task by cleaning the books, and
separate the old and new according to its genre. As follows, we are tasked of rechecking all the
books according to the title, authors, and numbers of books, genre, and (ISBN) International
Serial Book Number, and Copyright. Every morning we are obliged to clean the books and
bookshelves, and continue to do our unfinished work. Then, we validate all the books that we
had checked, and organize it. That’s all the work we have done throughout the whole week.
Week 02- March 14-18, 2022

This is our second week of March, our tasked for this week is still same last week. We continue
our task by encoding all the books that we listed last week according to its title, authors, genre,
numbers of books, copyright, and (ISBN) International Serial Books Number. We fix all the
books that has damage, because the books in the library are very important and need to preserve.
Then we arranged all the books according to old and new. After encoding the list of books, we
rechecked it for several times to make sure that all are accurate before we print it.
Week 03- March 21-25, 2022

This our third week of March, we are ordered by our supervisor to make a signage for the library
about safety protocol against COVID-19. Each of us has our own creative signage design. And
we are assigned in different areas of bookshelves to maintain the cleanliness. As we assigned in
different areas of cleaning the books and bookshelves, we are responsible doing this task every
day until the internship is done. The S.A given as an ordered from the supervisor to get all those
old books and set aside it to the box. Especially those very damage. After the tasked done, we’re
just reading some books and others are doing their own stuff.
Week 04- March 28- March 31, 2022

This our fourth week of March as an Internship student, as of this whole week were just cleaning
our areas, and organizing the books. And ordered to clean the library specially the window that
has a lot of bird dang. Then our Supervisor asked to print again the list of books that we’ve done
throughout this month of March. The month of March has ended, and our obligation as an
internship students have done very well.
Week 05- April 19- April 23, 2022

This our first week of April as an internship student, as of this week were covering all books in
the library. And all are busy covering books on their respective area. Every day we cover books
as many as we can.
Week 06- April25-29, 2022
This is our second week of April we still covering all books as many as we can. Then, if we ran
out of plastic cover just cleaning the books shelves in our respective area. And if there is
available cover then we do our tasked again. As the month of April and then our work
throughout this whole week is covering all the books at the library.
Week 07- May 02-07, 2022

This first week of May as an internship student, all of the internship student of college
department cleaning the area and continued covering the books. So that, we have no already tape
so we can relax for a moment and reading the books. We still continue cleaning the library while
Week 08- Week 09- May 16-21, 2022

This second week of May as an internship student, these day we are calling to high school library
to have a meeting about our daily works. We continue our works to cover all the books
especially those need to preserve. Every day of our job is to clean our area and cover all those
books inside the library. Every day of our internship we are cleaning the cabinets and dust.
Week 09- May 16-21, 2022

This third week of May as an internship student, all of us called for cleaning the operation of
graduation suit. We start at college student suit. On these day we proceed on Senior High School
graduation suit cleaning and dump those suit that doesn’t work out. Today me and my colleagues

arranged all the graduation hat and count it if how many it is. Since were not yet finish on our
covering books, we use to continue it. We clean our different bookshelves and used to arrange
books. Our colleagues continue covered the books.
Week 10- May 23-28, 2022

This fourth week of May as an internship student, we are all cleaning the area and continue
covering the books. We still continue covering books. We read books, because we have no
already materials for covering the books. We all stay at the library and keep on cleaning and stay
silence while waiting the materials. We took an overtime today for our 600 hours. Goals, and
today we are cleaning the stockrooms whereas there’s a lot of books.
Week 11- May 30- June 04, 2022
This last week of May and a first week of June as an intern student, we arranged the center of
bookshelves for space. The book we get from the bookshelves that we rearranged, and we
covered the book that they don’t have a cover, we prepared our narrative report every day and
were going to the main library for an orientation about our internship. And complying our DTR
which one of our requirements of OJT.
Week 12- June 07-08, 2022

This second week of June we gather for our meeting for what we prepared of our last duty in our
internship.

Introduction
Web site is an important tool commonly used by most of the developed institutions in
order to create awareness about the institution and to disseminate information to its users. All
web sites compete with each other in design and also on cost factor. The way of presenting
information is very important in the sites. User friendliness and accessibility is another important
aspect.

Instead of hunting the web for information, a person identifies himself to the web site,
and the site bring all relevant information to the person. The role of a library web site is to put a
consistent “face” to this information so that visitors don’t have to deal with dozens of different
web interfaces to get their information.
The college might also contain various educational resources like e-book, e- journals,
theses and dissertations, lecture notes, old question papers, and other digital collections. But due
to ignorance or financial reasons only limited resources are being used. By creating a web portal
and uploading these resources in a server we can be able.
Objectives of Study
 To design a web page at the college Library for storing organizing and disseminating
information related to education for its students and group of institutes.
 To provide information unbiased, trustworthy, credible, research- based information to
help students and faculty members of the institute and make them more informed.

Rules and Regulation
Any institution should be framed rules and regulation for administrative purpose so the
library has also framed many rules for maintaining the services. The rules and regulation are
varies institutions to institutions and for their convenience. It is necessary to have this option in
the web site for users.
Library Service
Library is an important section/ department in any academic organization. It’s served on

users oriented. There are so many services rendered. So it is necessary to have this option in the
intranet web site.
Recommendation
We in our groups collaborate as we observe the library, students are no longer use it as an
informative room, because easy for them to use gadgets, we gathered our ideas to make the
library of St. Peters College very attractive to other students in terms of learnings, finding
informative research, etc. or any related creative works, we recommend to create a library fun
page, since then students must love to post their achievements on social media, whereas they

upload their best informative, resourceful projects, thesis and researches. What if! Create a Web-
site or Page only for the school which it’s not easy to plagiarize the works because it has a
watermark and only a students of the institution has the right to post and open the library. It
help’s also to other students to find a guide from the school. Because it’s on the web or page.
Conclusion
Therefore, we conclude to study first analyze the said recommendation how does it works after
the implementation, who’s going to be the in charge of the creative idea. Who will be the
beneficiary? The assurance of the author’s to avoid plagiarism, the security of the information
and how visible it’s.
