01.Enumerate the Values of Research to Man (7) and discuss each briefly.

 Research improves the quality of life.

Man has been searching for ways to improve his life as a result of his research. It has prompted
him to concentrate on improving the processes and means by which he must love. Because man
is a dreamer, ambitious, and hardworking in achieving his dreams, research has improved the
quality of life.

 Research improves instruction.

There is no beginning and no end to research. It is a never-ending list of tasks. Educators,

policymakers, and educational researchers are all working to improve instruction through
research. To determine which strategy or approach is best and most effective in teaching, studies
on different strategies and approaches in various subject areas and year levels have been
conducted.

 Research improves students & achievement.

Students' achievement can be improved through research if the modern teacher studies and
understands the students' characteristics, problems, and needs, on which he bases his methods.

 Research satisfies man & needs.

Man's needs were not fully met in the past years, as they are today. Man suffered as a result of
his traditional way of life. For example, no electrification, no vehicles, no communication
facilities, no movie theaters, and so on. Man's traditional ways of life have become modern as a
result of advanced science and technology. Electricity, communication facilities, vehicles, movie
theaters and a variety of other services are now available. Airconditioning equipment is available
if a person desires a cool mechanical device during the summer. Cassette, phonograph, radio,
television, and other media are available to him if he wants to listen to music and keep up with
current events.

 Research reduces the burden of work.

Computers, copier machines, fax machines, washing machines, refrigerators, and many other
modern devices are examples of research products that reduce man & burden of work.
 Research has deep-seated psychological aspects.

The human spirit is stimulated and ennobled by research. It calls on man to eliminate the threat
of stagnation. It is an open door to a brighter future, and it guides him in his efforts to achieve
good results that contribute to his happiness and self-fulfillment.

 Research improves the exportation of food products.

Food product exportation has improved as a result of research. Bananas, pineapples, rice,
mangoes, frozen prawns, and many other products are exported to other countries. That is helpful
to us as a Filipino.
02.  Choose at least two (2) characteristics of research and give example to support your answer.

 Empirical.

The researcher's direct experience or observation is the foundation of his or her research. The
collection of data is based on practical experience rather than scientific knowledge or theory.

 Logical.

Valid procedures and principles are used in research. Scientific investigation is carried out in a
systematic manner so that the researcher can be confident in the results. A logical examination of
the research procedures allows the researcher to reach valid conclusions. As a result, the logic of
valid research makes it critical for decision making.

03. Discuss the connection of Applied Research to field research.  Apply your knowledge of
Types of Research and Classification of Research.

While field research seeks to expand knowledge by developing new theories and revising
existing ones, applied research seeks to provide practical solutions to specific problems through
the analysis of empirical evidence.
