CC-01 and CC-02 cables

These types of cables are used for device connection, the

cables and device terminals have the same colours.
The Jablotron CC-01 cable is designed for wiring main
BUS legs or for devices with a high consumption (e.g.
sirens) or devices at long distances. The main power wires
(black and red) have a bigger diameter (0.5 mm²) than Fig.2 Graph of relationship between cable length [y;m] and current [x;A]
communication wires (0.2 mm²).
The Jablotron CC-02 cable is designed for branches from
main BUS legs or for devices with a low consumption Recommended way of calculation:
(detectors) or for short distances. All wires in CC-02 cables
have the same diameter (0.2 mm²). 1. Find out the current of every single device (In the
technical specifications in the manual – Current

2. Find out the cable lengths. It is necessary to know it
resistance of 100 m 7.54 Ÿ
resistance of 1 m 0.1932 Ÿ very exactly from node to node.
CC02 resistance of 10 m 1.932 Ÿ 3. Draw a circuit diagram with cable lengths and currents
resistance of 100 m 19.32 Ÿ for every single leg.
4. Calculate the current through every single leg.

5. According to the calculations, take the value of current
and cable length and find the voltage loss in the tables
for every leg.
6. Starting at the control panel supply output, subtract each
and every voltage loss up to the end of the cable. For
calculations, always use 12 V at the output terminals of
the control panel as if there is no AC.

BUS arrangement
For wiring the system, you can run the cable anyway you
want, it does not matter if it leads to a keypad, a detector, a
siren or whatever. But always try to use the shortest way.
The BUS can have as many legs as you need. Possible
shapes: line, rays or tree structure. In real installations it is
mostly a combination of all of these structures. Almost
everytime the best variant is a combination of these three
structures. But never run the BUS like a round circle –
this is forbidden. On the bus it is unacceptable to
create a closed loop.

BUS arrangement examples:

BUS length
Maximum BUS length without any amplification or
separation is 500m. This means the sum of all cable lengths
between connected devices. The JA-106K control panel has
2 independent and separate BUS legs and it is also
possible to have a BUS with a length of 2x 500m.

Fig. 4 ray BUS structure BUS Separation

It is necessary to protect parts of the BUS which are
mounted on unprotected places against short circuits or
tampering or any other attempts at damaging the system,
using a JA-110T isolator. This module can be mounted
inside a JA-190PL multipurpose box. The isolator increases
the quality of BUS signals. An isolator is connected to and
powered from the BUS and occupies no logical position in
the control panel.
A good example is a BUS connected to PG output
modules controlling window shutters or a siren in an area
which is not protected and where tampering is easy. For
more technical information read the manual of the JA-110T.

For BUS branching use a JA-110Z splitter (BUS

terminal module). The splitter comes in 3 variants:

Using old cables for BUS
modifications
Example of the installation of a control panel after rearrangement:
We recommend you to use CC-01 and CC-02
cables as previously for new installations.
When cables similar to 3 x 2 x 0.5 are used, it is
necessary to use one of the twisted pairs (A
and B) for data communication. For the +12V
and GND power supply lines, use the other two
pairs. Twist one of the pairs together and use it as
the +12V and the second pair as GND the same
way.
There is another type of cable known as UTP. It is
necessary to use one of the twisted pairs (A
and B) for data communication. For +12V and
GND use two of other pairs. Twist one pair
