¿How to meditate?

Meditation is an excellent technique to relax, there are many psychological

and physical benefits that it brings to our health: it reduces stress, improves
concentration and memory, raises our levels of happiness, keeps us active
and positively affects the immune system.
The key to performing a good meditation is to find the perfect moment for
you, find the type of meditation you prefer and have the correct posture to
be more comfortable. If you want to know how to meditate correctly, follow
these steps:

1. Put on comfortable clothes.

The first thing you should do to meditate is to dress in comfortable clothes:

take off your shoes and choose your loosest clothes, this is the best
alternative to feel light and relax quickly.

2. Find a quiet place.

It is necessary to find a place that allows you to be relaxed, without

interruptions or interference. It can be the room in your house, by the sea or
in the garden, any place is good if it allows you to feel comfortable and focus
on your meditation without distractions.

3. Sit properly.

You must sit correctly, that is, on the floor with a straight back, but without
tension, breathing deeply and keeping your shoulders and arms relaxed.
Some people prefer to sit in a chair or on their knees instead of the common
posture. Whatever position you choose, your back and body should always
be straight, especially your shoulders and arms.

4. Focus on your breath.

Focus on your breath (with your eyes closed) as you begin your meditation.
5. Accept your thoughts and move on.
It is common for different thoughts to arise during meditation: personal
problems or the insecurity of not doing the meditation well (something that
usually happens when we are just starting with meditation), however, this is
something normal, therefore, we must accept it and continue.

Recommendations
 Gradually increase your meditation time.
 Make it a habit.
 Try meditating with a friend to share interesting meditation experiences
and routines (optional).
