Let's cook
verbs in imperative
The IMPERATIVE is used to give commands, orders and instructions.
The form of the verb used for the imperative is the bare infinitive,
which is used without a subject. When describing a sequence of
instructions, linking or transition words are used (first, then, next,
second, after that, etc.)
verbs in imperative
Imperatives For a negative order or instruction, use don't.
We can use imperatives to give orders and
instructions. Don't run in the corridors.
Don't be late!
Wait quietly before class.
Be nice to your brother or sister. Use please to be more polite.
Don't forget your bag!
Please put the plates on the table.
How to use them Don't make so much noise, please.
The imperative is the same as the verb. We
use the verb without you.
