B. PROFILE OF THE PROGRAM
I. Title of the Program

School-Based Training on Gender and Development (GAD) & Psychosocial and Wellness Program for
Teachers

II. Rationale
Luinab Elementary School will be having their Gender and Development (GAD) training
with a theme” Strengthen Gender Sensitivity and Equality in the New Normal” on December
7-8, 2021, at 7:30 in the morning until 5:00 p.m. First day is the GAD Training and on the
Second day will be the capacity building. The participants of this activity are the teachers and
staffs of Luinab Elementary School.
This activity aims to promote awareness of women and children to address all forms of
gender-based violence as enshrined in the 1987 Constitution. Aside from that, it strengthens
the moral resources of the participants rooted in Filipino culture, values and ideals that are
pro God, pro people, pro country and pro nature.

III. Program Description
This training highlights the significant discussions about RA 9610 of Laws and Rights of
Women, Women rights freedom for discrimination RA 1962, Laws on Violence Again
Women’s Children 9262. Most of the teachers in Luinab Elementary School are women, so
it’s very important to know well their rights. Interventions for Womens’ Empowerment and
Gender Equality, Women’s Empowerment Principle , Impact of Gender Equity for Women,
Women Responsibilities in the Community and Society and lastly the Equal Rights for
Women.

Participants should enculcate on their mind how indispensable this training on their lives
especially on this COVID-19 crisis. Women are really different today.
IV. Professional Development Priorities
 To provide the teachers the knowledge and understanding about Gender and
Development (GAD) Program to promote awareness during this COVID-19 crisis
 Addresss all forms of gender-based violence as enshrined in the 1987 Constitution
 Strengthen the moral resources of individual rooted in Filipino Culture
