Patricia Rodríguez

Patricia Rodríguez was born in Alajuela on

November 18th, 1988 at the old San Rafael
Hospital. Her parents had a little grocery
store near her house, and additionally her
father went out to sold bread and manjarete
in the streets.

Her mom had a high-risk pregnancy and

labor, so she was freaking out, and her dad
was really worried; she was their first child.

Her childhood was really happy. She grew

up with her three cousins; they were all boys,
so she played everything but dolls.

She lived in Barrio San Jose when she was a child, near her grandparents and her
cousins in a small green house.

She went to General Jose de San Martin School. She started there in 1994 in
kindergarten and graduated in 2000 in the same school. But in 3 rd grade, she lived
in San Ramon, so she went to George Washington School, and in 4th grade, she
lived in Rosales de Desamparados in Alajuela, and she went to Guatemala School
in Alajuela downtown.

She loves to study, so she has a quite long list: Publicity Design major, Marketing,
BBA Management, some certifications such as ITIL, PLN and Neurosemantics, Six
Sigma, and some courses and languages as English and Portuguese (this last one
is in progress).

Her first job was at Sykes as a Customer Service Representative for Merrill Lynch
which was a financial institution account that broke back in 2008 crisis, and for that
reason she was moved to MetLife, the insurance company.
Besides that, she has been working as a book designer from 2008 until the present
day, this is part of her freelance job as a Publicity Designer. Also, she has been
working for Fiserv as an Implementation Project Specialist since August 5th, 2013,
until the present day too. Thank these jobs, she has achieved a lot of goals as buying
her own car and building her house.

Patricia got married in 2015 and divorced in 2019. When she was married, she lived
in the same place she lives now, Lotes Solis in Alajuela. According to her, she
married her worst mistake ever because that guy never appreciated her, but the
good news is that she learned a lot from that experience. She does not have kids,
but she has had two miscarriages. Despite this fact, she would like to have a kid one
day if the universe let her.

She does not consider herself a famous person, but she can say that kids from
schools and high schools all around the country have been using the books she has
designed for the past 12 years. She does not think she is well known because
nobody reads the legal page of the books where her name is. She became interested
in that area thanks to her ex-boyfriend’s best friend who knew a Publisher’s Owner
that needed a designer for his books.

Actually, she is 31 years old, but with more gray hair than many 40’s women. She
describes her life now as very nice, relaxed, and happy. She is learning to face life
with a different perspective.

She enjoys traveling a lot. During her last vacation, she traveled to Europe, in that
trip she visited London, Dublin, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Luxemburg,
and Paris.

About her job, she was recently promoted in her office job as a Tech Lead, and now,
she has an eight people team.

Finally, about her future, hopefully, being a mother. She has been thinking about
artificial insemination in order to get pregnant and have a baby. Even though, she
has thought about adoption; one of her dreams is to have a baby on her own.
