Program Title Project SERVEbisyo: FEED ME AND I TEACH YOU
PROGRAM
Program Description This project is contrived and centered to educating
underprivileged NLNCHS students as well as New
Lucenanhon’s that lacks proper education and opportunities
that would help them in the near future.
Materials to be use and financial factors will be shouldered
by the SSG Organization. And volunteers will also come from
New Lucena composed of NGO’s and Sangguniang
Kabataan.

Rationale Education is an important issue in one’s life. It is the key
to success in the future and to have many opportunities in
our life. Education has many advantages for people. For
instance, it illuminates a person’s mind and thinking. It
helps students to plan for work or pursue a higher
education while graduating from university. Having
education in an area helps people think, feel, and behave in
a way that contributes to their success, and improves not
only their personal satisfaction but also their community. In
addition, education develops human personality, thoughts,
dealing with others and prepares people for life experiences.
Education makes us view obstacles as challenges to
overcome with no fear; facing new things. It is the main
factor behind successful people and the merit of developed
countries. Therefore, education is deemed a real success
behind any future success (Al-Shuaibi, 2014).

This project was pioneered and started by our very own Miss
Universe Philippines 2020 Ms. Rabiya O. Mateo in her
coastline advocacy wherein she started her own program
that helps underprivileged children living near the dumpsite
of Iloilo city by conducting feeding programs and reading
sessions. In accordance with this, we as SSG is obligated to
effectively and meaningfully contribute to the lives of our co

In the year 2020, Philippines was one of the top countries in

South East Asia with severe cases of COVID-19 that resulted
to Modular Learning and Blended modes of education. Fast
Forward to 2022, the absence in F2F learning is still
practiced because of precautionary measures in avoiding
COVID-19. For over 2 years of learning with no social
interaction, students mostly in Primary and Secondary level
both public and private institutions have been dependable in
learning kits and internet connections. Thus, lowers the
competency of Filipino student nationwide.

There are a lot more challenges concerning modular

learning, but these are the most prevalent. Both the
students and the teachers are at a disadvantage. The quality
of education, however hard it is to admit, may have dropped.
But because we’re still in the middle of a pandemic, it’s not
their fault. Learning is hard when done on your own.

New Lucena in general is a diverse municipality, these

factors are (1) Socio-economic, (2) Ages and walks of life, (3)
Backgrounds and beliefs, and (4) Opportunities and
Privileges. Majority of students, youth and children don’t
receive enough support morally and financially that greatly
hinder their growth as an individual and a learning human
being.

PROGRAM aims to effectively contribute to the character
development of the students. This project is all about
empowering the youth in taking parts to relevant and timely
issues our community and as one country faces. By being
