My topic is “The Impacts of Teenage Pregnancy on the Society.”
Teenage pregnancy also known as adolescent pregnancy, is a
dilemma that the world still faces. I selected this topic because of
the rapid increase among teenage mothers and as a student
studying English Language doing this research will help to
improve my research skills as my exploration, descriptions, and
explanations will improve dramatically as I continue to write, and
the ability to pay keen attention to details will help me to
maintain high accuracy and thoroughness when executing task as
I will be reading more. I intend to obtain the information required
for this school-based assignment by utilizing an article, poem and
a song .
Reflection 1
In my opinion I thought teenage pregnancy had no effect upon the society
we are living in. I would only see the effects of this dilemma upon the
teenagers themselves and would imagine the impact it would have on their
lives. However, after researching and gathering information on this topic I
have found three artifacts that has given me a better understanding on
“Teenage pregnancy”.
Second artifact chosen was a cartoon illustration titled “true story about
teenage pregnancy: I got pregnant at 15”by Wnews this video was released
on September 11th, 2019, I have learned that teenage pregnancy can be
sometimes unwanted or unplanned and at these times it's as important to
get maximum help from parents and to feel family support. This artifact
showed a heart melting story that was animated.
in the cartoon illustration title “true story about teenage pregnancy I got
pregnant at 15” the use of language was informal but without the use of
colloquialism. Its diction was at a level I could easily comprehend which
made me understand what the illustrators we're trying to bring across.
