HISTORY
The Rosetti-Roznovanu mansion in Lipcani
is an architectural monument of national
importance in the town of Lipcani, Briceni
district (Republic of Moldova). The building
dates back to the 1820s. It was previously the
surgery department of the hospital in the
city of Lipcani.

Construction of the building began in the early 19th century, during the lifetime
of Countess Ecaterina Rosetti-Roznovan (1785–1870). Next to it was built the
Church "St. Ecaterina ”. The mansion was one of the first to be built in the
classical architectural style, appearing in Bessarabia in the 1830s. After the death
of Countess Rosetti-Roznovan, the mansion was owned by his niece, Ecaterina
K. von Ditman (1845–1923), during which an annex with two floors and the water
tower (1884).

The mansion was rebuilt in 1870 and in the mid-1950s, the last time it was
converted into a hospital by the Soviets.
