 “Pre-writing: Getting ready to write”

PRE-WRITING is the first stage of the writing process. There are three processes in the
prewriting, those are:
1. Choose and narrowing a topic.
In this stage we determine what topic we want to write. And then Narrowing the
topic, this mean we can choose anything to be our topic. But the topic must be a
general topic or have broad insight.
Example :

Recreation in yogyakarta, historical place in yogyakarta,

Yogyakarta Food in Yogyakarta, Shopping spot in yogyakarta.
Recreation in yogyakarta Merapi Volcano Museum, Merapi Park, Parangtritis.

Editing is the process of choosing or selecting which ideas are the most interesting,
and which are the most relevant to your topic.
 “The structure of a paragraph”

1. The definition of a paragraph

Paragraph is a is a self-contained unit of discourse in writing dealing with a particular
point or idea. A paragraph consists of one or more sentences.

Example : Malioboro is the most famous street in Yogyakarta. Located in the heart of
Yogyakarta, this is the city’s main street. Malioboro,The Biggest Shop Center.

2. The part of the paragraph

A paragraph consists of three parts, namely the main sentence (intro), the
supporting sentence (body), and the conjunction.

Example : Malioboro is the biggest shopping centre in Yogyakarta. Malioboro is also

for shopping beside for a recreation place. There are many interesting place in
Malioboro, like distro, hotel, mall, restaurant and many more. It is a good place for
spending a lot of money.

3. Identifying and writing topic sentences

Identifying a topic is getting the main idea of a paragraph. Usually find a topic by
looking for a word or two that is repeated in several words.

1. Paragraph support and development

Paragraph development with the process method can be done by regularly compiling
a work process. Process is a sequence of actions to produce something. The
sequence must be explained according to the stages of events chronologically and
thoroughly.

2. Writing conluding sentences
The closing paragraph is the paragraph at the end of an essay. Paragraphs serve as
the closing of an essay. This paragraph shows the writing has ended, in the form of a
conclusion, summary repetition, emphasis or final comment.

Example : There are many facilities there like mosque,toilet and etc. It free to use. In
Malioboro the tourist can choose what they want because there so many variety
store. Malioboro is the place to come to shop. If you’re after some batik to take
home as a souvenir, then Malioboro is the right place for you. From house dresses to
formal batik wear, this street has them all. Batik can also be made into bags, table
cloths, bed sheets, pillow covers, curtains, and a whole lot more.

“My Lovely Best Friend”

I Have a best friend. Her name is Zulfa Fitri or can be called ijul. Zulfa was born on
Desember 13, 2001 in Batam. She is older than me. Zulfa is 157 cm tall and weight 48 kg.
She is taller than me. Zulfa is minang people but sometimes she looks like Arabian girl. She is
a muslim who wearing a hijab. She is a beautiful girl. Her skin’s color is light brown. She has
black eyes. Then also has a pointed nose. Zulfa has a pair of thick eyebrows. Her hobby is
drawing and painting. She likes music too and also share with me good songs. Her favorite
food and drink are fried rice and ice tea. She live at Sei Nayon Bengkong. She is very kind
and friendly. I hope we will be best friends forever.

Descriptive paragraph of a product!

I Have a new phone. I bought it last year by using the money that i earn from my job.
My Phone is an Ios based Smartphone. It is very reliable for me to play games like Pubg
Mobile and Mobile Legend. Beside that, my phone is also supported by 2900 mAh battery so
I can play my favorite games for a long duration without even worry of running out of
power. It is also very sophisticated since it is equipped with fingerprint scanner that allow
me to unlock the phone quickly by only placing one of my finger on the home button. I
always satisfy with the quality of photo taken by this phone because it has 12 MP rear or
back camera and 7 MP front camera. And the storage capacity is 3GB RAM and 128GB ROM.
The color of my phone is black. The screen is 5 inches with HD quality. The back or rear
camera is located at the top left on the backside of the phone.
 “Process Paragraph : How To Make Dream Catcher”

1. Gathering your materials (wooden hoop, suede lace, hemp rope, and decorative
materials)

2. Place a half-inch line of glue on the top of the hoop, then wrapping the hoop
with suede lace. Let the glue finish drying.

3. Tie the string securely to the top of the circle and Loop the string around the
hoop. Then weave using hemp rope according to the pattern.
4. After weaving make a hanging loop.

5. Decorating your dreamcatcher.

6. The dreamcatcher is finished and ready for display or sale.

 “Opinion Paragraph”

In my opinion about system full day school, full day school can be a building
character in every students self. If we go to school all day and when back to home,
we gonna tired and didn't have sufficient time to going study. We didn't know that
actually system full day school can be a building character in ourself for more
discipline. I think "full day school" isn't efficiency to make our young generation
smart. It's true we can learn longer and we get much point. But for some students
who have weak metabolism, they easily get sick and of course it causes so much
problem to their school activities. But with the "5 school days" we can have Saturday
on holiday, and we can spend our time with our family.
 “Comparison Paragraph”

Desktop is a physical computer unit that consists of a monitor, CPU, key-board and a
mouse. It is a graphical user work space on a software operating system. It is designed for
regular use at one location. It requires main power supply so that it can't be portable while
Laptop is an all-in-one computer that uses batteries or AC power that can last for several
hours. It can be easily transported and can be used as long as the battery lasts. However it is
becoming very common for public places to have powering units available for phones and
Laptops so they can be used almost everywhere. It is also called as Notebook. It has basically
a LED or LCD screen.
