    Orville and Wilbur Wright make the first recorded powered, sustained and controlled flight in a heavier-
    than-air flying machine.

    The most influential inventors of all – Wilbur and Orville Wright, two brothers from midwestern America
    who were were to have the greatest impact on the world Aviation.

    A one hundred nineteen years ago today, they made their 1 st attempt at flying 1903 flyer. The Wright
    brothers didn't simply build a craft to get off the ground. They designed a flying machine that could
    evolve and become the almost magical means of transportation we fly today. Their pioneering approach
    to aircraft design is still the foundation of modern aeronautical engineering. We learned from Wilbur
    and Orville Wright that the individuals really can change the world.
