Re: Replacing Sensor PCB P/N 83 50 171 during repair

Update: May 30, 2000

Reference Doc: IDM nos. 3 / 11.97, 4 / 12.97, and 5 / 3.98

Reason: A differential pressure sensor manufactured by Sensortechnics

replaces the differential pressure sensor manufactured by Huba on
the Sensor PCB P/N 83 50 171.
The use of Sensor PCBs with the new Sensortechnics sensor
requires software version 2.02 or higher.
The use of the wrong SW - Sensor PCB combination can result in
MV measurement being out of tolerance.

Solution: For units with software version 2.00 or 2.01 only:

Since software version 2.02 is no longer available update unit to
software version 2.03 when replacing the Sensor PCB with a Sensor
PCB P/N 83 50 171 with an installed Sensortechnics sensor.

Devices affected: All units with software version 2.00 and 2.01.

When: When replacing the Sensor PCB P/N 83 50 171.

Additional Info: After installation of the new Sensor PCB and the new software version
calibrate the pressure sensor in the DrägerService mode and carry out
a complete inspection of the Oxylog 2000 according to the PMS
procedure.

In the future a third sensor version will be available. This sensor has
shape and can be used with all software versions.

Software version 2.02 and higher, and 3.n supports all versions of the
Sensor PCB.

Oxylog 2000 units with SW 1.n are not available in the USA and
Canada.

Cost: Covered by Customer, post warranty.
