BIM Coordinator is an integral part of the design team who leads and coordinates the process of generating
digital models and integrated data often referred as ‘Information’ about a project, from the design stage, to the
construction stage.
The BIM Coordinator is often regarded as a chief figure in a project team as they are responsible for the BIM
workflow and ensuring that any potential issues during modelling, clash detection and data conversion is dealt
with efficiently. In smaller organisations the lead modeller may occupy the role of BIM Coordinator. In general,
the BIM Coordinator is the go-to person for setting up project specific guidelines for Technicians and
Architects, and responsible for linking information across disciplines.

The following three methods are available for selection to certify a building for the structural capability
to receive an additional load from the solar panel or to adjust the loading pattern due to these
installations.

1. Based on the previous report: Most RMG factories have already completed their structural
compliance audits. So we can use these reports as a basis for ensuring the structural capacity of the
building. In this case, the demand-to-capacity ratio of structural elements from the Accord / Alliance
report, some manual calculations of the components most affected by these installations, some Excel
base preliminary analysis will suffice.

Document Required for this procedure is as follows.


a. DEA Report
b. As built Drawing
c. FEM Model

2. Simplified FEM Analysis: If no previous assessment report or design report is available, we need to
go through a simplified representative lump FEM model. All information regarding the structure and
drawing must be submitted by the client-side. Will be analyzed according to the information provided.
No site visit or test will be conducted. The feasibility of installing solar panels will be calculated from
the FEM model, the details of the structural drawing, and the localized stresses of the most affected
components of the building. The lower tier demand-capacity ratio of the structure will not be analyzed,
considering that the load will be distributed through the diaphragm so there will be very little impact on
the structural stability due to the load from the solar panel. As a minimum document requirement, as-
built drawings are mandatory. Deliverable is only a certification about safety and integrity. No
assessment report will be given.

3. Complete detailed engineering assessment can be conducted with the material test, complete FEM
model, as-built drawing preparation. After the identification of structural and non-structural elements,
which are significant in terms of stiffness and load, a complete FEM simulation model will be prepared.
Preparation of assessment report as per BNBC requirements in section 1.9.1.1. and other referenced
standards on the overall structure performance, as well as the demand-capacity ratio of the individual
components, a summary of computer outputs, including all input data, final results, Verification of the
input data and interpretation of results.

According to the phone discussion and available documents for the project in "Urmi Group", we are
proposing on the basis of the second option described above. Although there are some FEM models
in the files we have received, we cannot accept these models as basis of analysis without approval

Accord/Alliance/RSC. Also there is no as-built drawing in the file set, which is mandatory for
assessment.
