Title: Effective Construction Planning and Management

The effective construction planning and managing starts in project planning where must
have the 3 basic principles which is the overall planning, controlling and the coordination
which is an effective way to conduct quality projects. Also from the word itself,
“effective construction” must include the general and specific objectives, specific scopes
and quality of standard. By using of the knowledge areas on a project will let you guide
of the lifecycle of the project as well as what to enhance, what techniques to use, and
achieve the goals of the project in smooth and quality time.

The stages for project management satisfies me because the first one describes about the
planning which includes the objectives, the sequence or the methodology, the scope and
collecting some information. Also the scheduling stage must be implore in the project
because having a schedule makes the work easier and will be exact from the allotted time
for your project to finish. Having a scope will also leads you to topic controlling or
simply in control stage where you limit the area of your project and leads to more
significant and accurate outcomes.

Explaining the 5M’s of Resource Management identifies what we will do, what we will
receive, what will we implore and what will we expect for the project. This is not an easy
task because it involves management and execution of construction projects which
includes the human, materials and equipment, and of course the money which is always
involve in construction projects.

Having this kind of ideas will make a quality project/ work like revisions and updates.
Updating makes the project to be monitored, and revision makes the update to be
enhanced and to be exact from the objectives and your present scope.

For me, having a time plan or a schedule to meet avoids delays, alterations, and not
attaining the objectives of that day or a week. Reason why we were delayed it is because
there are plans that never executed properly and doesn’t include any techniques or
strategies that must be involve in the project. Also, using of appropriate tools will make a
critical project to smooth success of it. An example for this is using forklift for moving,
carrying, pulling or lifting a load. There are some cases other powered industrial trucks
must be used in same purpose but different loads to instead of forklift. That’s the concept
of using appropriate tools in project management.

Also, I am doing a task remembering what will be my goal then climb up for the process,
synthesize it step by step, and this process is called reasoning backward. Reasoning
backward is a good process in which I always thinking how to do the steps and not how
to do the result. In the end of this project, you will know if your plan works or you’re just
planning to fail all your efforts in making projects.
