Subject: Re-application for Canadian Study Permit

Respected Sir/ Madam,

I am Hetvi Patel. I am writing this letter to justify the reasons for the rejection of my student
visa application from the Embassy of Canada. I have applied for admission in Supply chain
Management at Cape Breton University. From my early days, I had a strong desire to study
in Canada and learn from one of the renowned universities in the country. After the
completion of the program, I will help my father in India and develop his business further on
an international level.

My previous application was rejected stating the following reason:

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the I.R.P.R, based on the purpose of your visit.

Justification for the reason is as follows:

I got a refusal letter on my second application, which got me thinking as to what I should do
next. After some contemplation, I realized the mistake I made in my previous application. In
my second application, I didn’t consider the CAIPS report as to why my application was
rejected and submitted regardless, thinking that it was just a misunderstanding. I submitted
my second application without analyzing the CAIPS report and immediately submitted it
before the report even came. This time I have carefully considered the reasons specified in
the report and I wish to enlighten you about the same.

I chose to pursue the Global Business Management Program in both of my previous

applications. I did think at the time that by getting an international degree I would be able to
get a grasp of the international trend, but I was wrong in my approach. After careful
analysis, I came to know that the program is rather general and won’t help me in my career
as I already have an MBA from an Indian university. I didn’t change the program in my
second application either, as I didn’t consider the report that was given to me by the visa
office. This time I came to realize that what I really need for myself is a specialized program
that deals with the specific structural problems in the whole production line from the
distribution of the product. So, I have changed my program this time to a diploma certificate
in supply chain management and have received my admission acceptance letter from Cape
Breton University. I believe this program will help me solve the business problems that my
father’s business is facing as it is growing on an international level.
I have an intricate and deep emotional bond with my parents as I am the only child in my
family. Ever since I was a child, my parents have always taken care of me and always
provided for me. I have been close to my family enough that I decided to help my father in
his business after my graduation. I didn’t take up any other career and went ahead to help
my father in his business. I still live with my parents in India. I believe I am obligated to take
care of my parents as they grow old since they have taken care of me till now, and with the
amount of love they have given me, I believe I should repay them. So, the only reason I am
coming to Canada is to gain a multicultural educational experience from a renowned
university and nothing else. I have a strong reason to return to India as I am the only child in
my family, and I have a deep responsibility to look after my parents.

Besides personal reasons, I also have a professional reason to return to India. After
completing my graduation from an Indian university in business, I decided to help my father
in his business, which is a well-established and renowned business, in the sector of
manufacturing and supplying high-grade machines all around India. I always had a strong
interest in my father’s business, which was the main reason I decided to go with it post my
graduation. I already have experience in the business with various processes like production,
packaging, distribution, and marketing. As the business started going a bit global and started
the supply of products in South African countries like Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya,
Republic of Congo, and some European countries, experience in international supply chain
management was necessary, which was the reason I decided to pursue this course in supply
chain management.

The manufacturing industry in India is experiencing huge growth as the demand around the
globe is ever-increasing. India has the potential to become the manufacturing hub for
almost all industries as the potential of the country is huge due to its labour force. It is
estimated to add more than $500 billion annually to the global economy. According to the
Department of Industry and Internal Trade, the F.D., my inflow into India in manufacturing
subsectors for the last 15 years amounted to $100 billion. This clearly shows the potential of
India in the manufacturing industry, which is also one of the main reasons I will work in India
after graduating from Canada. I also think that the demand for automated machines will be
increasing all around the globe due to the advent of technology, and we hold the
specialization in that, so the potential for the business is sky-high.

I strongly believe that I have clarified all the points that have caused the rejection of my
previous study permit applications and I have confidence that the Visa authorities will be
able to justify my candidature in the aforementioned course and university.

Yours sincerely,
Hetvi Patel
