ANOTHER ---> an adjective / pronoun


= one more, an extra, an additional
= an alternative or a different

 She wants another cup of tea.


= one more cup of tea.
= an additional cup of tea

= one more day
= an additional day

= an alternative day
= a different day

 I need another pen


= an alternative pen
= a different pen

Another + singular noun

 PRONOUN:
 That cake was tasty. I think I’ll have another. (another cake)

 I don’t like this room. Let’s ask for another. (another room)

 ANOTHER + NUMBER + PLURAL NOUN

 She was given another couple of weeks to finish the project.
