    III. Application/Activity
    Analyze the painting presented then answer the following questions below.

    1. What is the subject of art being presented in this painting? Is it representational or non-
    representational? Explain your answer briefly.
    In my opinion it is representational because the art itself is made by Fernando Amorsolo is the
    very first painter to be recognition as the country’s national artist. This work titled “Rice Planting” which
    was made in 1922 and represent our culture.

    2. What is the message or meaning being presented in this painting?


    The meaning in the painting is that planting rice is our culture and it represent also the spirt of our
    country on a canvas.
    IV. Assessment
    For your requirement this prelim period, kindly follow the instructions below.
    1. Prepare these following materials for your artwork:
    a. Short coupon bond/oslo paper
    b. pencil/pen
    c. coloring materials (optional)
    2. You may choose any subject for your artwork, either it is representational or non-
    representational.
    3. It must present the application of the elements and principles of art.
    4. Your artwork must have a title and write down also the elements and principles of art you
    used. Then, write also a short description about meaning or message of your artwork.
    5. You need to submit also documentation while you are doing your artwork as a proof that
    you personally made it.
    6. Deduction of score will be done once you failed to pass your artwork on its deadline and
    such no attachments of documentation. You may send your documentation through
    Messenger.
    7. Kindly attach your artwork in this module.
    8. Submission of your requirement will be after the Preliminary Examination.

    LIFE AND DEATH
    The reason that I choice this kind of concept because I have lost some of my loved once
    this year and it’s hard to forget them that I can’t express or share it to others. I also want my
    grandmother to be happy and also my father, I wish that one day if I see them I want my dreams
    came true.
