We’ve all either read articles or seen television shows like Antique Road Show, Storage Wars,
and others in which people have acquired valuable items like collectibles, books, artwork, jewelry,
furniture, etc. for next to nothing at estate sales, yard sales, Craig’s List and flea markets. The
usual reason for these amazing finds is lack of awareness of which items are particularly valuable
amongst a houseful of possessions when someone dies. In addition, it’s important that your heirs
know whether you have a safety deposit box and any storage facilities - including those that may
house a boat, RV, or other vehicles – and where they can be found. To be sure that your heirs not
only know which of your possessions are particularly valuable but where they can be located
(whether the location is within your home or somewhere else) and how to identify each item,
please list them below (put a copy of any appraisals, purchase receipts, or other documentation in
