1º Make a chart in which you order the athletics events through history
since the ancient olympics games.

 Athletics track events: Runnig, Jumping, Throwing

 Jumping events: High Jump, Long Jump, Pole Jump, Triple Jump

2º Investigate the origin of the marathon event.


The marathon was originally a race for the 1896 Olympics Athens, celebrating the run
of the soldier Pheidippides from a battlefield in marathon, Greece to athens in 490 B.C.
legend has it that Pheidippides delivered the momentous message “Niki!” (“victory”), then
collapsed and died.

3º The coronavirus pandemic has hit the biggest sporting event in the
world-The summer Olympics. The International olympic committee
postponed Tokyo find out what other olympics games weren´t help and
the reason.

2. Due to the second world war, 1944 and the winter games of that same year that
would be held in Italy.
4º Name the types of jump events in track and field and post a photo or
draw a picture of each one.

5º Research what athlete maintains the world record of the long jump.
When and where did he get it?
The American Mike Powell broke the world record for the long jump of 8'95
meters, it has been held for 30 years, at the World Championships in Tokyo in
1991.

6º Why is a type of jump called Fosbury?


In honor of its inventor the American jumper Dick Fosbury.
