Miguel Guinayangan, Quezon Over Stress and Anxiety During
Pandemic

I. INTRODUCTION
- The global impacts of Covid-19; and highlights the consequences,
implications , risks and opportunities of the Covid-19 pandemic on
our current world order. The pandemic and it's response, in the
form of protracted nationwide lockdowns, have had several short-
term as well as long term impacts on human health, society,
economy , and environment. For instance , the severe lockdowns
imposed in certain countries have actually caused a widespread
economic and humanitarian crisis. Therefore , it is important to
draw important lessons from this pandemic to amplify our future
preparedness and response capacities to similar shocks.

The economic and social disruption caused by the pandemic is


devasting ; tens of millions of people are at risk of falling into
extreme poverty , while the number of undernourished people,
currently estimated at nearly 690 millions could increase by up to
132 million by the end of the year.

Covid-19 Inter-agency task force for the management of emerging


infections diseases resolutions no.146-A series of 2021, October
28, 2021 , Section 15 Article 11 of the 1987 Constitution states
that the state shall protect and promote the right to health if tge
people and in still health consciousness among them.

During the pandemic , majority of the residents in Brgy. San


Miguel becomes unemployed, caused by the protocols being
released and implemented. Most especially , the advice for
staying at home for the sake of each member of the community
and to avoid the spread of infection.

ABSTRACT
PURPOSE - It gives people the strength , hope needed to process
and overcome hardship during pandemic.

DESIGN/METHODOLOGY/APPROACH
- The present study investigated , Level of resilience and positive
Coping of households in Brgy. San Miguel Guinayangan Quezon.
Participants of (10 Mothers) aged between 40 and 77 y/o , (10
father ) aged between 40 and 78 y/o, (10 teenagers ) aged 13 to
19 y/old completed an actual survey.

RESEARCH LIMITATIONS/IMPLICATIONS
- It Covered the pandemic at Brgy. San Miguel Guinayangan
Quezon. This consistency based on level of resilience and positive
coping of households during pandemic.
FINDINGS
- The analyzed studies showed that the Covid-19 pandemic has
caused mental and health problems including stress, anxiety , and
depression. Higher family resilience was related to lower anxiety ,
stress, and depression symptom.

RESEARCH QUESTION
The study concerned households strategies of coping with
stress during the pandemic. The following research questions
were put forward;

1. What strategies of coping with stress are most often used by


households during the coronavirus pandemic ?
2. What is the relationship between sociodemographic
variables and dominant coping strategies among
households?
3. How does anticipated support differentiate the coping
strategies used by households ?

HYPOTHESIS
- There is significant difference between before and after
pandemic.
II. BRIEF REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES
- The results of the study conducted by IATF ( Inter-Agency Task
Force ), on March 8, 2020, recognizing that the Coronavirus
pandemic requires the mobilization at a whole-of-government
response, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte declared as state of
public health emergency in the entire Philippines through
proclamation no. 922;

Meanwhile, The head of the World Health Organization has said


the acute phase of the pandemic could end this year, if about 70
percent of the world gets vaccinated.

The mission of all health organization is the same. It is to


overcome the health crisis we were already living in and respond
to the pandemic we are all facing. The challenge today is to
reduce as much as possible the negative effects this pandemic will
have on faster improvement in our everyday lifestyle.

III: SCOPE AND LIMITATION

- It Covered the Pandemic at San Miguel Guinayangan Quezon with


30 households as respondence.

IV: METHODOLOGY
- The study employed the survey method using purposive sampling
where 30 households were chosen as Participants.

VI: CONCLUSION
- This study provides qualitative evidence on coping strategies of
households in the Covid -19 pandemic. Findings can inform
community to support households that harness positive coping
strategies such as exercise, adjusting daily routines and social
strategies to improve physical and mental health , foster social
support , and encourage meaningful daily activities during of
stress and anxiety.

VII: RECOMMENDATIONS
- In the light of the findings derived from this study , the following
Recommendations are sailed.
1.Considering the positive result, the researcher recommends the
continuos implementation of the qualitative evidence on coping
strategy not only for households but also for all the community of Brgy.
San Miguel Guinayangan Quezon.
2.Researcher should reconsider their Instruction as far as the contents
And activities are concerned as households find issues in these
elements.
