DO's (Pathya)
! Rest as & when required.
! Go for morning & evening walks.
! Garlic (2-3 pieces) (Allium Sativum) is one of the
most efficacious drug of primary origin in
controlling Hypertension.
! Herbs like Sarpagandha (Rauwolfia serpentina),
Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri), Shankapushpi
(Convolvulus pluricauls), Chandana
(Santalumalbum) etc. are also effective
! Consult to an Ayurvedic physician before using
any drug.

DONT's (Apathya)
! Strenuous exercise must be avoided.
! Intoxicants like Alcohol, Tobacco, Excess Tea,
Coffee etc., Irregular food habits, oily & spicy
food butter, pickles, papad, salt etc.,
aggravates the condition.
! Stress, Strain and Anxiety should be avoided.

Yogic Treatment
! Relaxation techniques are important.
! Simple deep breathing, inhalation and
exhalation without retention may be
performed in Sukhasana or Vajrasana.
! The practice of inhalation and exhalation by
left nostril or Chandra Svara or
Chandrabhedi Pranayama are of help.
