The NYPD declined to elaborate on how it reached its new conclusions, but said in a vague statement the Now on

resumption of in-person services following suspensions during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
The agency attributed 33% of the 10,048 workplace injuries in fiscal 2021 to staffers getting COVID-19 on
duty, adding that a “majority” of the 13,931 workplace injuries last fiscal year were also pandemic-related.
