TRABAJO PRÁCTICO (CONJUNCTIONS)

1- FILL IN THE GAPS WITH THE CORRECT CONJUNCTION.

CONNECTIONS AND PORTS

All modern computers have more or less the same interfaces. There are some
differences between desktop --------- (and-or-while) laptop computers as well as
various mobile devices. ---------- (When-While-And) referring to hardware, an
interface is a physical device, port, or connection that interacts with the computer or
other hardware device.

AC POWER CONNECTOR

The power port is a port on a computer or other electronic device that allows it to get
power from a wall outlet --------- (and-when-but) charge the device's battery. Devices
like desktop computers, which don't have batteries, cannot turn on without a power cord
connected to the power port. Devices like laptops, which typically have a battery, can
work with or without anything connected to the power port ---------- (if-yes-after) the
battery has a charge.

DISPLAY CONNECTOR

The display connector is usually located on the back ------------- (as soon as-or-if) side
of the computer. As a rule, the connector is usually either one of two different
connectors. ------------ (If-yes-as soon as) you are connecting a display to your
computer, make sure that you have the appropriate connectors. You can handle most
different pairs of connectors with the right adapter, but you will have to purchase them
separately.

Many computers have an HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) port where
you can connect, e.g. a DVD ---------- (while-but-or) a Blu-ray player, stereo amplifier
or flat-screen TV. HDMI enables high-quality picture ------------ (but-if-and) audio
transfer between connected devices.
Many computers have a DisplayPort interface (an alternative to HDMI), where you can
connect the computer display ------------ (or-while-if) a stereo amplifier, for example.

LOCAL AREA NETWORK PORT (LAN)

The Local Area Network (LAN) port is used to connect your computer to the Internet
via a network cable. The LAN socket ----------- (and-while-because) cable are easy to
recognize due to their special appearance.

USB PORT

Devices that can be connected to the USB port include the mouse, keyboard, digital
camera, USB flash drive, scanner, etc. There are several versions of the USB port. You
can also charge various devices by connecting them to the computer through the USB
port. The image shows two regular, rectangular USB-A ports --------- (if-as soon as-
and) a suitable plug.

A- Why do computers use binary numbers?
B- Why are hardware tools important?
C- Why does software need to be updated?
D- Why does a computer need an operating system?

3- CONTINUE THE IDEA WITH SO.
