Rating
The rating defines the urgency for installing this update.
This update is mandatory for all environments. Failure to apply mandatory updates might result in a security breach.
Mandatory updates resolve vulnerabilities that might affect product functionality and compromise security. You must apply
these updates to maintain a viable and supported product .
Rebranding changes - This is solely for informational purpose, there is no action required. You can continue to secure your
organization with Trellix Agent as usual. You will notice the following changes in the software:
• Product Name - McAfee Agent is renamed to Trellix Agent. Features and options in Trellix Agent, prefixed with the product
name will be updated iteratively. And, on McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, you will find Trellix Agent as McAfee Agent until you
receive brand update communication.
Note
The name variation does not impact the product functionality and performance, you can manage and operate the product as usual.
• User interface - Color and typeface are updated and provide better user experience.
• End User License Agreement and Copyright - The End User License Agreement and Copyright are updated as per legal
requirements. Please read the agreement for details.

MA-13179 Communication between Trellix Agent and MVISION ePO provisioned NDLP fails after upgrading to Trellix Agent
5.7.x.
MA-13870 Installing or upgrading Trellix Agent on a Windows system now generates the deployment successful event.
MA-13881 Trellix Agent wake-up call is now successful on SELinux systems when the wake-up port number is configured
below 1024.
MA-13936 Unable to delete WindowsUpdate.log on Windows Server 2012R2 after installing Trellix Agent 5.7.5. This issue is
now resolved.
MA-13978 While installing Trellix Agent 5.7.x on a Linux system, signature verification fails for RPM files. This issue is now
resolved.

MA-13162 Trellix Agent SELinux machines reported denied error messages in the audit log during cmdagent operation. This
issue is now resolved.
MA-13720 SuperAgent distributed repositories display the "Site catalog not found" error when you select View Repository
on the McAfee ePO console. This issue is now resolved.
MA-13841 The System Tree page in McAfee ePO now displays the username of the current logged-in user instead of "root"
for Trellix Agent user. The username can now have upto 31 characters.
MA-13843 Trellix Agent 5.7.7 now enforces the Local Procedure Call (LPC) integrated products such as Host Intrusion
Prevention (HIPS) firewall policies on Windows Server 2012 R2 systems.
MA-13850 Irrelevant information that was logged in bulk about session 0 users is now removed from the ePO server logs.
MA-13872 McAfee ePO now displays the correct text as "Single System Troubleshooting" on the Permission Set page.
MA-13953 The high CPU usage issue while checking the status of the Trellix Agent service on Linux systems is now fixed.
MA-13977 McScript.log now has a maximum file size of 10MB and 10 rollover counts.
MA-13986 Windows domain controller servers now display the correct OS type while installing Trellix Agent 5.7.7.
MA-14027 Product version build numbers report incorrectly to ePO by misplacing the dot after the minor version. This is
now resolved.
