Gear Class Configguration Item Reecord: 

Steep 1. From the SeerviceNow left navigation menu go to o the Configurationn 

application,  Physical Host Layeer and select Netw work Gear. 
Steep 2. On the right t side of the screen
n, a list of existing N
Network Gear 
Configuratioon Items (CIs) will b
be displayed.  At th he top of the page cclick 
the New buttton to create a neew Network Gear C CI. 
  Steep 3. Enter valuess in the fields with tthe red asterisk (reequired) and click S
Save. 

  Note: The Class ffield is set to Netw
work Gear.  The Stattus field defaults to
o 
Received; if you uupdate the Status ffield additional fields may be requiredd.

Thhe Status is updateed as you progress the CI record through the lifecycle.  T The 
vaalue in the Status ffield denotes the sttage of the CI record.
