Health Related Fitness

Health-related fitness (HRF) is theoretically defined as a multidimensional construct

containing the components cardio respiratory endurance, muscular strength, muscular
endurance, flexibility and body composition.

Physical Fitness
Physical fitness involves the performance of the heart and lungs, and the muscles of
the body. And, since what we do with our bodies also affects what we can do with our
minds, fitness influences to some degree qualities such as mental alertness and emotional
stability.

A.) Body composition is a term used often by doctors and

health professionals. It refers to the percentage of fat, bone,
and muscle in your body. Doctors use body composition to
see if you're at a healthy weight for your individual body.

B.) Flexibility is the ability of the joints or a group of joints,

and muscles to move through a range of motion effectively
unrestricted and pain free. There are so many benefits of
flexibility, and finding increased flexibility will drastically
improve your quality of life in the long run.

C.) Muscular strength is the amount of force you can put out
or the amount of weight you can lift. Muscular endurance is
how many times you can move that weight without getting
exhausted (very tired).

D.) Muscular endurance is the ability of a muscle or group of

muscles to perform repetitive contractions against a force for
an extended period of time. The greater your muscular
endurance the higher number of repetitions you could
complete.

E.) Cardio respiratory endurance refers to the ability of the

heart and lungs to deliver oxygen to working muscles during
continuous physical activity, which is an important indicator of
physical health.
