Product: Sportrack SC
Mission: One-component polyurethane spray coating for
atlhetic tracks
Characteristics:
Sportrack SC is a one component, solvent containing, PUR based spray coating. It is used
for the application of the top coat, in athletic tracks made with Casali Sportrack SC system,
on to the cast in situ rubber mat. Sportrack SC, once sprayed with EPDM granules, has a
good wear resistance; when exposed to UV rays is common to have a slightly chalk and,
depending on the colour, a discoloration might be observed (light change on red oxide and
green oxide and a massive with blue).
Aspect:
Low viscosity coloured liquid
Aplication method:
Before the application the product has to be homogenised by rolling the drums. Sportrack
SC must be applied coupled with EPDM granules (0,5 – 1,5 mm) and EPDM powder in this
proportion by weight:
Sportrack SC EPDM granules (0,5 – 1,5 mm) EPDM powder
60 40 2,5
The mixing operation must be done with a proper mixer until reaching an homogeneous
blend. This is necessary to achieve an uniform sprayed surface.
To apply the mixture use a specific spray machine.
IMPORTANT: always control that EPDM granules and powder must be perfectly dry. Do
not start apply in case of expected rain.

Synthetic Division
Consumption:
The recommended consumption of the mix is 2,0 Kg/sq.m. in 2 coats to achieve the perfect
wear resistance.
ATTENTION: the maximum quantity for every coat is 1,2 Kg/sq.m. in order to avoid the
foaming of the material.
Application instructions:
Substrate and ambient temperature MIN 10°C MAX 40°C
Ambient relative humidity MIN 30 % MAX 90 %
Hardening times
Interval beetween coatings: MAX 48 h
Times refer to standard laboratory conditions. Hardening times are strongly influenced by
weather conditions; high temperatures, direct sunshine and high humidity accelerate hard-
ening; shadows, low temperatures, low humidity slow down hardening. In winter the prod-
uct should be applied in the central and warmer hours of the day. Always ensure that the
previous layer has hardened before applying the next coating.
Packaging instructions:
Colours available: red oxide, green oxide and other on request
Packaging: 210 Kg drums
Storage instructions:
Storage temperature: MIN 5°C MAX 25°C
Stability in the original package: 6 months
Safety standards:
Always read carefully the technical data sheet before use.
