FOR SEPTEMBER
**For READING**
* Don't worry if you don't know a word in the text. You can often guess the meaning by reading
the other words around it.
* Read each option carefully. Decide which ones are wrong and why.

**GRAMMAR**
1. We use the first conditional to talk about likely situations/actions.
We can also use 1st C to talk about the future, but we use a V1 after it.
Conditional Clause (If + present simple)
Main Clause (Will + Infinitive)
(The conditional clause can start first or finish the sentences. It is also common to use this structure with
unless,  as long as,  as soon as, or  in the case instead of if.)
(If the sentences start with a conditional clause we have to use `comma’ after the
conditional clause.)

Or
(If we use the main clause first we don’t have to put `comma’ after the main clause.)

2. SOMETHING, ANYTHING, NOTHING, ETC…


 Someone or Somebody for a person we don’t know.
 Somethings for a thing we don’t know, make an offer.
 Anyone or Anybody in questions and negative sentences.
 Anything in question and negative sentences.
 No one/nobody and nothing to talk about ‘no people’ or ‘no things’.
(Use a positive verb)
 Everyone/body and thing to talk about ‘all people’ and ‘all things.
(Use a singular verb)
3. Present Perfect(V3)
Events that started in the past and continue into the present or were recently
completed.

 Talk about our experiences


 Don’t say when something happened with V3 (then use V2)
 Use ever in V3 questions (even = in your life)
 Use never to talk about things we haven’t done in our life.
4. Should / Shouldn’t
 Use should/shouldn’t + infinitive (verb without to-same as a
must, mustn’t) to give someone advice.
**For VOCABULARY**
1. What’s the matter?

About Health problems (in paper)

2. Vehicles

In a taxi, car, and helicopter.

On a coach, plane, and scooter.

3. Travel Verbs

**For Speaking**
 Don’t forget to ask follow-up questions like Why not?,
Why?, What about you?
 If your partner doesn’t understand your question, try to ask
it in o different way. (Rephrase a question)
**About transport**
Why I like an airplane/car.
Air travel is the fastest method of transport around.
We can see the view from the side by traveling by car.
Ask your partner
which transport vehicle do you like to travel in?
Have you ever visited another country?
Do you prefer to travel abroad or in your own country?

**For Writing**
 Always check your work when you have finished. (Double-
check)
 If you are writing a story
 You should give your characters’ names.
 Write something about each picture.
 It’s better to use V2 to tell your story in the exam.
 You should avoid changing tense from V2 to V1 and stick to
one or the other.

**For Listening**
 Names are always spelled out.
 The answers follow the order of the recording.
 Do not waste time writing numbers as words.
