You are going to watch a video of a vlogger talking about the advantages and
disadvantages of working from home vs. the office. (pre-view activity)

Can you explain what vlogging/ a vlogger is? Someone who films videos of
their daily life and upload them online

What things do you think he will be talking about? Students’ own answers

Watch the video and answer the following questions: (specific questions)

• Where is he? In Tel Aviv, Israel

• What time is it? 8.37am
• Where is he heading to? To work at his client’s office How will he get
there? By bike
• What time does he get home? 4.15pm
• Does he normally follow this routine? No, he normally works from his
home office
• Where is he flying tomorrow? To Italy What for? For holidays With
whom? With his family
• How long is he going to be away? For a week
 According to the vlogger, what is working from the office better for? Meeting,
planning…
And working from home? Designing itself, creating new stuff, being productive
in general…
What professionals can benefit more from working at the office? Managers
(whose work is meetings)
What professionals can benefit more from working from home? Creators (who
need a confined space, quiet to think and create, where they can be alone
without anybody bothering them)

Look at some of the expressions he uses in his talk and write the equivalent in your
mother language:
