1. Check cable against specification and drawings.
2. Check cable against data in cable schedule.
3. Glanding/locknuts/bonding correct (Near end).
4. Glanding/locknuts/bonding correct (Far end).
5. Cable marking correct outside/inside panels (Near end).
6. Cable marking correct (Far end).
7. Termination in accordance with drawings (Near end).
8. Termination in accordance with drawings (Far end).
9. Number/ferruling correct (Near end).

11. Cable grouping correct.
12. Clamping/cleating correct (Area acceptance).
13. Cable mechanically protected (Area acceptance).
14. Cable screens should be checked to confirm that their connection to earth
is passed through the core balance CT where fitted.
15. Confirm cable screens are earthed at both ends.
16. Confirm cable idents fitted on either side of all transits.
17. Prior to any IR or preassure testing a continuity test should be carried out. This
should include a continuity check of the cable screens.
18. INSTALLATION TEST
Record earth loop resistance at switchgear end. <1, 0 ohm

Record resistance gland body to earth Bar at switchgear end. <0.01 ohm

IR test prior to HIPOT.(5kV for 11kV cables. 2.5kV for 3kV cables)
