Overview
It is said that art is a representation of reality, it has the capacity to copy something from the real world. It also comes in different forms and genres. Art is a
broad term associated with paintings, literary pieces, installations, films, music, dances, etc.
According to National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCAA), art is a powerful tool that can shape one ideology and perception of society.
In this lesson, you will describe Philippine contemporary art, and how art is used to influence society. Lastly, we shall answer, what makes Philippine art Filipino.
