5th Grade News

Week of 9/27- 9/30

Hello!
Our field trip to J.A. BizTown on October 24th is quickly
approaching! We are in need of two more volunteers to assist us
in transportation on the FrontRunner to and from the field trip. If
you are interested in helping, please email your student's
homeroom teacher.

Please take the time to review the information weekly for

important information regarding your student's learning, upcoming events, and valuable
reminders. Specific information regarding each teacher's classwork and assignments will be
posted directly to their website (linked below).

BizTown- Students wrapped up our unit on work and career readiness. Students learned all
about applying and interviewing for a job! Students will now be working in their
businesses to get ready for their day at BizTown.

Reminders
A friendly reminder that school shirts must be red, white, or navy (not other shades of
blue) and have a collar. Shoes need to be close-toed. Sweaters need to be plain with no
logos and in the school colors.

Wanting to volunteer in the school or on

our upcoming field trip?
As a friendly reminder, any volunteer in the school or on a school field trip must have a
background check on file with the front office. Please contact the front office for more details
on how to receive a background check.

Mark your calendars for our Fall Festival! It will be Friday,
October 7th, from 4:30-7:30. It is a wonderful way to support
the school, meet new people in our community, and enjoy an
evening with your family. It is also a wonderful way to get in
some volunteer hours. Reach out to our PTO if you are willing
to help us out with this delightful event.

We will NOT come to the school at all that day. Students
will need to be dropped off at the Woods Cross Front
Runner station at 8:30 am and picked up from the station
at 2:15 pm.

We will need many chaperones from each class to help

supervise workers so J.A. City can run smoothly. Details
will come soon.
