GL 314
Live tank circuit breaker for 245 / 300 kV

Alstom Grid live tank SF6 circuit breakers use self-blast technology and benefit from the latest
technological developments as well as our field-proven, time-tested experience in high voltage switchgear
in accordance with the IEC62271-100 standard.

Description
• GL 314 circuit breakers have one breaking chamber per pole
• 3 spring-operated mechanisms (FK) control the circuit breaker operation. The FK3 type
mechanisms equip the entire range of Alstom Grid circuit breakers, with more than 100,000
references worldwide
• The electrical cubicle protecting low voltage equipment also ensures and monitors pole
operations
• GL314X circuit breakers are fitted with three densimeters to monitor SF6 gas density
• Additional low voltage equipment is available
• Composite insulators are available

Testing
Alstom Grid circuit breakers meet the requirements of national and international standards. This
has been confirmed by comprehensive type tests based on the latest versions of IEC and ANSI
standards. Our circuit breakers are certified ISO 9001.
