SENSORY IMPAIRED DISORDERS

Analysis

1. Can you share some experiences where you felt that you do not

belong? How did you deal with it?

- Yes I felt that, but instead of being sad and depressed, I realized

something. I should have love myself more first before other things, when I

feel that I don't belong to something, I try my best to make myself belong to

it, just like I love myself.

2. How we will summarize your answer in the chart?

- Special education is of great importance for children with learning

disabilities, because it gives them the opportunity to get quality education in

line with their unique needs. Special education enables every student to

gain a high level of independence and reach their full potential.

together under the same roof, disregarding

one’s strengths and weaknesses.

Lesson 2 Diversity in the Classroom

Analysis

1. What did you discover about yourself?

- Rediscovering myself begins with accepting myself completely, both

strengths and weaknesses. By accepting myself completely, I become

more peaceful, more understanding and wise in looking at life, as well as

accepting others as they should be. This is because self-acceptance has

implications for acceptance of others. I accept other people's good and bad

because I also accept myself as an imperfect human being, a human who

has strengths and weaknesses. I accept others who are unkind to us,

because I accept them as human beings who can err humanely. That way,

I become more tolerant of something, and I will feel peace within.

2. What triggered you to compare yourself with others?

- I feel insecure about people who are my age but have accomplished so

much more than me.

3. Where you able to see your own diversity? In what way?

- I’ve learned to focus on myself and my personal goals. I can pave the way

for my own definition of success and learn to enjoy whatever be the

situation.
Application
Include images of people that represent

different ethnicities, shapes, sizes, abilities,

and clothing in your handouts, activities,

posters, and games.

It is important to include resources that

feature a diverse cast of people, regardless of

unit of study.
