CHAPTER 3
Method of Study
The proponent the research group will use the two group design in this particular
proposed study. This design is the most appropriate because one group is used as control
group and the other is used as experimental group. The control group is the marker that
uses ink that are bought in the stores, and the experimental group is the marker with ink
made out of Java Plum (Syzgium cumini). According to Calmorin (2010), 2 group

Procedure
2. Remove the tip and cotton inside the marker with tweezers and soak it in acetone
3. Mix together the exact same amount of pureed Java Plum and ethyl alcohol in an
Erlenmeyer Flask.
6. Take the tip and the cotton of the marker and soak it in the mixture of Java Plum
7. Remove the tip and the cotton from the mixture and place it back in the marker.
8. You now have a marker that has an eco-friendly ink, you can test it out by using it
on a whiteboard.
The common qualities of a marker that is usually evaluated by users is the quality
of the ink, whether it has an intense marking of the ink or an ink that looks like almost
it’s fading. In this research, it’s not just the ink that’s going to be evaluated, but also if
it’s good enough to be an alternative ink for commercial markers who uses ink that is
made out of chemical, unlike this marker, it uses natural ingredients. Most markers that
can be bought in stores, uses chemical inks that has an unpleasant and irritating scent,
unlike this marker, it has a scent that is pleasant and is less irritating. This marker will be
evaluated by persons who usually uses markers, like teachers and students.
Statistical Treatment
For this case, the researchers will be using weighted mean, frequency and
